Yesterday on August 26th, 2021 there was an attack on US Troops and Afghanistan civilians at the gates of the Kabul airport killing and wounding many.  This incident has made many of us feel several different things.  So what do we do?  What is our response when the wicked succeed?  Lets look at Psalms 37 and see how the Bible tells us to respond.  Continue to meditate on the word and pray for our brothers and sisters down our street and across the globe.

On Sunday January 27, 2020 at 9:45am, professional basketball player Kobe Bryant, his 13 year old daughter and 7 other individuals died in a helicopter crash.  Many of the people I know have a connection with Kobe as I do.  We weren't close by any means, but I did experience him outside of the spotlight along with MY daughter...who is now 13 years old (and played against Kobe's daughter that was on the flight).  What does all of this mean? Why do we have to die?  What does the bible say?  In this episode of Jesus + Coffee we talk about the crash, I share my Kobe story and scripture from Ecclesiastes to reflect on this tragic event.
