    Branden Steineckert was a founding member of The Used and the driving force behind the band until the guitarist kicked him out for being sober in 2006. While that could crush a man, Branden dove onto wakesurfing for a couple of months and came out the other side as the drummer for Rancid, which has been his job for the past 18 years. While that’s worthy of its own podcast, we spend a lot of time talking about his heavy childhood in Utah and using skateboarding as an escape.     Alexi Godbout was born to ski instructor parents and was on his way to a pro skier future from a young age. He did the standard, started with ski racing, graduated to moguls, and then got his master's in park skiing. He went from local kid, following new school legend Philou Poirier, to a pro Salomon contract at 14 and a 20+ year pro ski career that, after years of podiums, shifted to the big mountains where he makes his “Blank Collective” films today.
