MJ has created over 6,000 videos, been on camera for over 12 years has over a billion views He first embodied the typical “corporate america” look when trying to get sales and became insecure about being seeing his true self in real life MJ decided to make a switch and be his true self He then realized people prefer the real him over the fake version By being himself and attracting a large audience, he realized he could then sell to more people[38:58] Tips to People Who Are Scared of Being Themselves
Remember the 1 % rule Your job isn’t to get everyone in the world to like you, all you need is 1% of the world to like you Having everyone like you is not the key to success Being yourself will attract others that are just like you[42:18] MJ’s presence on social media
Collectively across the platforms MJ has about 6,000 videos A lot of MJ’s time is spent on content creation He spends hours per day creating videos and publishing content You don’t have a business if people don’t know you exist MJ devotes his time from creating content as that is what draws in customers[46:50] What does MJ’s team look like?
MJ has 11 people that support his insurance clients His mother is the General Manager for the insurance business He also has lawyers, producers, assistants, video editors and photographers etc His team is necessary to keep the business running[48:48] Has Covid-19 affected your business?
At first there was a small impact, but since it has exploded Life insurance sales has gone up People are trying to cover all of their bases during this crisis More people are sitting at home and are in need of content MJ’s views have gone up a lot as well[50:49] How do you monetize the entertainment side?
Due to the relationship he has with Facebook and viewership, MJ is already monetizing from video ads MJ also has a merchandise line He’s thought about branding and sales videos but knows he can make more from promoting his own products[53:46] Ad-pocalypse
MJ isn’t concerned with ads decreasing or stopping all together He makes his money from residual income from prior years sales The money that presently comes in goes towards his savings Spend your active income, not passive income[56:21] How has making money changed your life?
Making money hasn’t changed MJ much He got a new car in January and since has been in quarantine and hasn’t been able to drive it He lives in a huge beautiful home but still feels sad that he can’t physically see the people he loves most The money matters as it takes away from certain struggles or financial stress, but it doesn’t change who you really are[59:02:] How do you get your content in front of people?

[1:23] Don’t SELF SABOTAGE on your entrepreneurial journey Comparing yourself to others distracts you from your journey People on social media post their highlight reels living a certain lifestyle that isn’t always their reality You could be way more successful than the people you see on social media “living that life” [2:53] People only share their highlight reel on social media It’s easy to fake it You can rent a fancy airbnb You can rent an expensive car You can borrow designer clothes People even pretend to be a successful coach when they aren’t really making people a 6 figure income [4:27] Success does not happen overnight Kevin’s only had 7 years of being an entrepreneur There’s different stages to the entrepreneur journey You may be pre-revenue and you’re judging and overwhelming yourself through comparison [6:17] What is your WHY? Tap into the pain and suffering Kevin’s why was being financially broke, wanting to take care of his family, pay off his parents debt, generational wealth AND freedom [8:16] Kevin has friends who are successful but still aren’t happy Why? Because they don’t have the business or different aspects of their dream These people value the materialistic goals over self happiness Kevin used to want designer clothing, shoes, accessories but then realized when you get the item, it doesn’t provide real happiness [9:49] We ALL want what we don’t HAVE We all experience wanting something that we don’t have Kevin is this way about luxury cars [10:35] What really matters? The thing that matters the most is your freedom Having the right to say yes or no to things is what really matters Kevin has seen mansion after mansion in California, and now he is no longer impressed by them [11:15] When you don’t have something, you obsess and want to be around it People often overthink and obsess over something when they don’t have it Once you get the car, shoe, house - you no longer are impressed [12:03] Kevin challenges all Black Bosses to find THE WHY You don’t want to have your why be for other people or to impress others Your why should be for you The sooner you figure out your why, the more focused you’ll be [14:13] Focus on your path Focus on you, what you want, what your journey looks like [14:24] Black Boss Valuable Minute Kevin shares how you can become a member of the Black Boss Club AND also how you can save 10% off your first purchase at the Black Boss Store. [16:04] Think about the celebrities that worked tirelessly for fame and success Many celebrities work to reach their height of success and when they get there, they aren’t happy They aren’t happy because they don’t know themselves [17:00] Life is a journey We have to seize every opportunity and treat every moment as a gift We also need to realize that we have time Life is short so you don’t have time but TRUST you are where you need to be in life [18:39] What would your life be like if you got 1 % better every single day? Do you think you’ll have everything you want in life? The answer is YES You don’t want to spoil your first few exciting life moments by having it all now [19:01] Sometimes having the money to do whatever, takes the fun away You may feel like you don’t have to work as hard Kevin used to go out to fancy dinners with his friends and wife often, and it ruined the excitement for special occasions The same applies to travel When you’re traveling all the time, you often miss being at home or it doesn’t seem as special [22:21] Master Thyself If you master yourself, you become aware of SELF Our journey to success is dependent on what you want success to be We must define what success means to us [24:22 ] We may be in a better position than our inspirations We have to understand that, yes we may be inspired and look up to someone but you could be in a better position now than they were at the same point in their journey You may be more successful at your point in your journey Trust that you are where you need to beSat, 18 Jul 2020 - 29min - 21 - 020: The King of Client Attraction - How Marquel Went From High School Dropout And Hustling In The Streets to Creating A Thriving Business That's Helped Clients Generate Over $20 Million

[3:23] Who is Marquel Russell? Growing up, the people around Marquel either were broke, relied on the government or sold drugs Marquel was always an entrepreneur He asked his neighbors to take their trash out, and cut grass Started selling drugs at a young age - that was the only way to make real money Everyone in his neighborhood wanted to work for the city - that was the dream job Marquel didn’t see himself doing that He wanted to be a millionaire Marquel went to prison 4 times After his first son, he realized he wanted to be in his child's life and got a regular job He was getting paid $8 per hour at the job and it didn’t work for him, so he went back to the streets This time he had a different vision and used his street money to start an entertainment company A strip club gave him a night of the week to create a theme night - called it an Industry Night A random guy presented him with an idea to invest in - everyone claimed it as a pyramid scheme Marquel almost quit this investment but he went to an event and saw all the successful black people and realized this could work for him [16:53] The Switch in Mindset Marquel met a mentor that told him to focus on one thing He decided to put his time in blogging and sharing information on network marketing He became the #1 recruiter on their team Marquel realized he could make money for himself and grow his own hustle in another area The best thing he got from network marketing was the MINDSET [22:42] Black Boss Valuable Minute Kevin shares how you can become a member of the Black Boss Club AND also how you can save 10% off your first purchase at the Black Boss Store. [24:29] Creating his brand Marquel modeled after others - selling people something cheap, then upselling them People reached out to Marquel asking him to coach them and he started charging them $300 His clients came from SEO from organic content through his blog posts In 2015, he discovered the high ticket model and everything changed [26:57] The High Ticket Model Marquel first learned the High Ticket Model from Alex Jeffries HE saw how well it worked and began teaching other individuals High Ticket = premium priced programs and offers [33:54] Price Talks Marquel’s highest priced item is $36,000 The majority of his clients are black It’s more about educating and showing their clients the value in the investment Marquel helps craft clients high ticket programs and assist them in creating the best offer [37:43] Why should we charge premium prices? If you provide value, you should charge premium prices You’ve spent time, investment and pain in the process to learn what you know By providing value in a short amount of time, your coaching should be valued high [41:36] How do you get your clients to understand ROI? Marquel’s philosophy They’re in it for success stories, more than money They’re process is hands on and they like to see their clients results When you charge premium prices, you’ll see more success stories Your brand positioning is HIGH if you are priced high The value creates the price - what are you offering? [48:07] How recession-proof is your business? Marquel’s clients are experiencing their biggest months It’s important to have consistent cash flow and consistent lead flow The most wealth is built in recessions Marquel hasn’t seen any changes in his income flow throughout quarantine [50:56] Is it important to have an “affordable” option? Never sell someone less than what they need Affordable is relative Clients can always find a way to afford it [55:38] Paid Advertising and Paid Traffic #1 - Messaging Speak to a specific ideal client Speak to a specific client #2 - High ticket offer #3 - Easy funnel process Directs the client directly to the right service [58:48] The High Ticket Funnel The worst thing you can do is outsource your marketing Marquel has a simple opt-in, where clients can sign up via email His case study video also works very well for him For the high ticket sell, there’s a page where they can apply The fifth page - prospective clients can set up a call with you, view your social proof etc Easy to optimize [1:01:07] Paid Ads You want people to click your ad at least 1% Are they opting in and signing up? You want a minimum on 20% After viewing the case study video, are they scheduling a call? You want at least 10% Do they show up to the call? [1:03:40] Target audience Start with interest based targeting You can run ads to an audience of that specific interest Lookalike audiences You tell Facebook to find people who look and buy just like X person These ads work better [1:05:48] Closing advice to all Black Bosses Get clear on what you specialize in What’s your thing? [3:35] Who was Spectacular Smith before Pretty Ricky? Spectacular was a child going to school, a class clown He was in a dance group “Baby Forever Nasty” At a young age, he always enjoyed dancing and performing [5:29] Did you want to be a celebrity or be in the spotlight? Spectacular doesn’t even think about being a celebrity and is less focused on the popularity but more focused on the RESULT [7:50] Spectacular had to be GREAT at a young age His father Joe Smith instilled a greatness mindset and pushed them to practice and perfect their craft at a young age The focus was performing at a high level, so they could receive more shows Joe Smith had a system where he wouldn’t charge for shows, but would ask people for a favor / trade Pretty Ricky’s audience was built from shows and building their brand Joe Smith values - Integrity, Loyalty and Trust [11:04] Early Mentors He learned a lot from his father, Joe but he also spent 12 years in prison Spectacular’s mother showed him the work ethic and strong foundation to achieve His mother worked hard in the beginning and passed the role to his father and his father Joe carried them across the finish line [14:54] Social media and showcasing the END RESULT Spectacular believes it’s celebrity culture that is causing the problem of people wanting to achieve results without working for it People only see the fame and fortune, not the struggle behind it Celebrities don’t show the process, the late nights, the losses, the pivots etc Shiny object syndrome [17:50] Black Boss Valuable Minute Kevin shares how you can become a member of the Black Boss Club AND also how you can save 10% off your first purchase at the Black Boss Store. People often forget that the music business is a business FIRST 90 % Business 10 % Talent Pretty Ricky reached all of their goals but they ended up with no money because his father wasn’t aware of the “contract” aspect of the business You have to reach out and ask for help when you enter a situation you aren’t experienced in Everything was there - girls, money, tours, and success [27:49] Independent vs. Working with a Label If you have time and resources to build a team, then you can do it independently If you don’t, why not partner up with a label to get the most output [30:27] Pivoting to Spectacular’s own business Everything from day 1 was a family business Spec got kicked out of the house and was forced to create his own entity From that day forward, he never looked back and created his own business Spectacular loved social media, and realized he could make a business out of it He started with parody accounts then saw how he could build followings to make money Adwizar was created [33:57] Adwizar Started his business by helping people in the music industry monetize their following Spectacular then realized celebrities are ungrateful, he would grow their page and then they would jump ship to other companies Switched the Adwizar narrative from monetizing to follower growth Facebook saw how much money Adwizar was making and they wanted a cut so he switched to service based businesses [39:48] Client Base Spectacular was thinking about how he can make the same amount of money, with the same size staff He started partnering with companies that fit his scalable model Adwizar made a company $175,000 and only got $5,000 out of the deal - so Spectacular realized he needed to pivot Now, their company provides a 3-month contract and offers an opt-in for a partnership to split the monetization or they can transition to the coaching model which trains a companies staff member to take over the social media process [48:40] What companies are scalable? If they have a high ROI with their paid ads Ecommerce brands and Online Courses do the best [51:07] Partnering with Celebrities and Influencers Spectacular sees the financial gain but doesn’t like working with their egos When you’re in the music space, all you see is music Spectacular created Social Seed, along with 3 Black Executives, where the average person can invest in their influencer Adwizar Technologies has a program where they match each influencer with a brand [57:30] 3 tips to creating a successful business Start with the culture - surround yourself with people who are tapped into the culture Create a mastermind for yourself Find a mentor [59:25] Online Business School Spectacular joined several business programs to learn the tools to implement in his business Entrepreneur Organization - the best decision he ever made in business, was to join this organization Everything that Spectacular has learned is from courses, books and mentorship [1:04:14] Spectacular's Closing Message to All Black Bosses The business bible is Think and Grow Rich Spectacular makes his son read all mindset books - because the only think stoping you in this is you You can't put limitations on what you can do in life [1:10:35] Kevin asks Spectacular 3 piercing questions What is your definition of a Black Boss? [1:16] STOP asking for handouts We as Black Bosses need to stop asking for handouts Kevin occasionally offers to pay for people's lunch on Facebook - several people drop their cash apps and someone commented on his recent post asking him to donate money to their business There is a difference between asking for a handout and asking for investors [4:19] Kevin had to PAY his way into SUCCESS - you should too! Don’t ask for handouts because it makes it seem like you’re depending and relying on someone else to be successful If you need money, do something about it Sell your clothes, sell something in your house, find a way to MAKE money instead of ASKING for money [5:29] We are capable of MAKING it happen There are SO many resources available for you to learn how to make it happen Surround yourself with people who you aspire to be like If you need advice or resources, find it and pay for it Kevin finds that people who he has given advice to for FREE have not done ANYTHING with their life [6:58] He gave away $15,000 - 20,000 in advice to certain people for FREE They didn’t do anything with that advice Kevin wasted his time giving the advice to them, and they didn’t do anything with it [8:43] If you have skin in the game, you are willing to make it work If you pay or are invested in the result, you will make the effort to make it happen [9:59] Black Boss Valuable Minute Kevin shares how you can become a member of the Black Boss Club AND also how you can save 10% off your first purchase at the Black Boss Store. [11:33] If you need financial resources, look for INVESTORS Offer these individuals a value for their investment in your business The person who wanted to genuinely help will lose if you don’t do anything with their money Exchange value and support each other by buying into the business [12:44] If you’re investing, make sure it’s high quality and WORLD CLASS The customer service needs to be top tier The client experience needs to be VIP [13:13] The problem with Black Business Customer service is the area we lack in as we are often focused on the hustle and not the process We take the pay, and move on - and don’t think about the customer experience We have to do better [14:10] Kevin worked his ASS OFF to get to where he is today Kevin has BEEN on the grind He went to college and went into debt for his future He graduated and got a high paying job from going above and beyond He took the risk and moved to the West Coast and became an entrepreneur Kevin also invested FURTHER into himself and paid to learn from successful people [16:02] Take RESPONSIBILITY of your business If you can’t afford to launch your business, go into debt for it or find a way to fund it It’s do or die If your business FAILS it’s because YOU didn’t do what you have to do to make it work We must rely on ourselves and not others There’s so many people in the world that are struggling and living through pain, but there are certain people who leverage that pain and dig deep into themselves to make a difference [19:40] We MUST work on ourselves Personal Development Change Your Mindset Work On Self Take Accountability Your vision can come true now, it’s you vs you [21:26] Think of the slaves who made it out Our ancestors made it work They made it out of slavery and found a way to create a life despite their circumstances It’s in our DNA to be great and overcome hardship - so DO ITFri, 03 Jul 2020 - 23min - 17 - 016: How This Power Couple Saved Their Marriage Through Credit Repair and Launched A Business To Help Other Couples With Theirs

[1:03] Intro to Jackie Kotei Journalist, PR professional Creator of multiple successful businesses Kevin’s first black high paying client [4:43] How did you get in the journalism field? Spent a lot of time with her entrepreneur Grandfather in DC - watched him operate as a businessman back in the day Grew a deep respect for entrepreneurship before she even took that route for herself Dropped out of school and was inspired to tell stories of people that looked like us [7:59] “You will never get on TV with locs” Jackie's Only black female professor told her she would never get on TV with dreadlocks Spent hours coming her dreads out Spent 5 years behind the scenes, then finally got a big break on air [9:06] The death of Martin Luther King’s wife First story that hooked her into covering black stories Profiling her life Started to see the power behind journalism Began to see the importance of covering stories that represent US Having that opportunity to be in the newsroom and fight for our stories to be shared, changed the narrative [13:14] Candace Owens and content that goes viral The media is a profit driven industry, it is just not simply showcasing what happens It’s about ratings - they know what stories sell in relation to COVID, the riots and BLM Being in the industry, it’s like Jackie stepped out of the Matrix Candace Owens is being showcased because she has the audience and they know people will tune in [16:05] Black Boss Valuable Minute Kevin shares how you can become a member of the Black Boss Club AND also how you can save 10% off your first purchase at the Black Boss Store.[18:45] 5 years as a reporter - the pivot to entrepreneurship
During her last stint as a journalist and while approaching the end of her contract, Jackie felt like she was ready for a change She felt that she contributed to a lot of negativity and gloom She tried to create a videography business and it failed She didn’t have a plan to create revenue in business, so she went back to the day job. The business failed in the meantime. After spending 6 years as a Communications Director for an agency, she felt like there was a cap on her financial growth It was time to start a NEW business again. Jackie looked at her job as a loan for her business. [22:40] Big lesson - if you don’t invest, you’ll never grow Learned a big lesson the second time You have to learn to invest, if you want to create a profit The first obstacle you have to overcome is thinking you “don’t have the money” to invest If you can’t invest in your business then you’re not worthy enough to have a business [27:29] MoreGood Media The culmination of Jackie’s life work The Goal of her NEW company was to share positive stories to the media Combines business strategy and media strategies Leverages media strategy to grow their business [30:24] Publicity for business owners The best time to get publicity is when you when you start your business Don’t wait, because it will help you hone in on your message Do interviews, or create a public appearances when you start The more you talk about it, the more you become clear on your vision Start local and grow - so by the time you’re featured on large platforms, you are polished in your responses [34:23] Challenges people experience when getting their publicity out there People overthink it and believe they aren’t ready You just have to have a vision and a mission to get out there It’s often hard for journalists to find stories You don't have to be sensational and hide your true feelings Think about what about your message provides value [38:04] Top 3 things to get a fast start with publicity Pick a few places where you can be featured Make a list of places that have your audience, create a solid message and vision You’re gonna get off to a fast start by finding places to communicate your message where your audience already exists Be ok with it not being perfect, but be okay with the progress Build relationships with the people you connect with [49:28] Where did Jackie's initial revenue come from? Her audience Her mastermind wasn’t transferring to financial gain Then her mentor shifted her to PR Have to stand out in the mastermind - don’t be shy and a wallflower [54:09] Creating relationships with news outlets Engage with their content, follow them on social media Introduce yourself and create a real conversation Create connections with them through something, find a common ground The pitch shouldn’t be a normal press release Be okay with hearing no, but when you do get a yes make sure to nail it Thank them afterwards and appreciate their work Keep the pitch short and sweet [57:55] Example of a Pitch - Black Boss brand Quote percentages of black podcasts that exist Stats about what you created as a company up to this point Connect it to the national conversation Always connect to the global landscape and provide them info to pitch to their editor Include things you want to come on and talk about [1:04:30] How Jackie Kotei found Strive & Grind She found him on social media and followed the breadcrumbs to his business Impressed by everything she saw She knew working with Kevin would be a good idea because of the level of influence he had online Confident this was the right decision [1:14:55] Final notes to all Black Bosses Pick one strategy from the podcasts and run with it There will be clues and insights on your journey It’s important to have a good mentor Resources MoreGood Media Connect with Jackie KoteiInstagram - @jackiekotei

Wed, 24 Jun 2020 - 1h 18min - 14 - 013: A Conversation With My White Friend About Race
Kevin sits down with one of his longtime white friend, Chase Maher, and talks about the current racial climate in America. They talk about everything Police Brutality, George Floyd, Racism, White Privilege, Candace Owens and everything in between. Both Kevin and Chase share their viewpoints on how we can best move forward and make a difference together. We encourage all black people to create these conversations with their non-black friends and begin to bridge the gap that systemic racism has created.
3 Black Boss Values We must have these uncomfortable conversations if we want to see genuine change Understand the post-traumatic syndromes that both races have If we want to see true equality, all races must come from an empathetic place Sponsors Black Boss Club Black Boss Shop**Click the timestamp to jump directly to that point in the episode.
Shownotes [1:08] Intro to the Episode - Black and White People having conversations about race Kevin introduces his good friend Chase (who is white) and opens the discussion about race They're lifelong friends and it’s important to have these conversations with people who are important to you They're keeping it real and honest [2:34] Chase shares his thoughts about what happened to George Floyd Felt different the attention time, whether it’s because of quarantine and or because it was highly publicized but it felt different Disclaimer : This may not be politically correct but it’s the real and raw perspective Two sides : the black community is taking a stand, and getting the rightful attention Media in the past always put a little bit of doubt on the death of a black person but this time there was no doubt [9:56] Social media and the impact on the masses Apps like Tik Tok, Twitter, Instagram - kids are now seeing the world as a whole and are seeing different perspectives on life outside of parent views The masses are able to see the youth / kids challenge their parents about their old racist belief systems CNN and other media outlets are can't 100% control the narrative because Social Media is showing what's really happening [7:05] Chase has been educating himself on what black people want the white man to do Believes we should focus on the system that breeds racists and breeds inequality Wants to help and do what he can to help the black community Kevin and Chase discuss why black people have been pointing out the racists or the situations that poke and are subtly racist [12:18] The social media arguments Chase feels like it’s a waste of time to argue and fight with people on Facebook about these issues He believes that we should go after what systematic structures influences racism and who controls the corrupt cops Kevin thinks we need to work from the TOP down and the BOTTOM up, and that way we'll get to the middle, but knows it’s taken years to come this far We live in a white supremacist country [14:49] Black Boss Valuable Minute Kevin shares how you can become a member of the Black Boss Club AND also how you can save 10% off your first purchase at the Black Boss Store. [16:21] Taking a look at the top - court systems, presidents, ceos The top of the top are the most racist, they hold the most money and profit from these systems Kevin shares the book “White Fragility” The people who are in power and are white don’t want black people to be equal because they feel like they’ll lose their power [19:16] The “sprinkle of doubt” tactic Has been used to distract the public from what really takes place This tactic has been used since the Black Panther movement, painting it as a military group when it was not Murdering the person who has threatened the throne Social media is starting to showcase the reality [23:53] Chase shares the white supremacists tactic to make “hemp” negative White leaders made the propaganda that hemp or weed was bad They started to plant hemp in the black communities and locked blacks up for it Used prisoners as cheap labor after slavery days Now, weed is legal and white people are making money from it and black people can’t get licenses to sell it [29:35] Post-traumatic slave syndrome Generations pass down trauma through their DNA The same energy and pain is transferred down Why don’t white people get it? They may have post-traumatic white supremacist syndrome [33:23] Does hunting cause people who have less emotional ties to people dying? Kevin and Chase disagree on this perspective White people who like hunting but why? Does it desensitize people from seeing others die People kill animals without any emotional tie to that animal [41:27] There are black people who milk the system because they're are born thinking the world is against them There is passed down trauma and hatred through the system White people need to educate themselves and realize there’s black people that don’t fit the stereotypes they are taught [44:07] Kevin hates when people say check your emotions If these same things were to happen to White people, they'd be emotional too Challenge white people to feel and understand the pain, stop looking for justifications and put yourself in these black people's situation This shit always happens to black people, and they're fed up [49:43] Being woke and “virtue signaling” Somebody who is trying to be morally correct but is challenged by someone else saying you are not being morally correct enough People are being attacked when they're trying to do the right thing Why do white people feel the need to apologize for decades of racism? [59:07] Chase believes America is not as racist as we are seen to be He thinks we aren’t as racist as we are painted to be America was the first time people were enslaved on the color of skin Day to day actions, it’s not that bad Racism exists everywhere but America is under a microscope [1:04:25] If you want to learn something, figure it out There’s resources available White people need to take the initiative if they really want to learn Figure it out, black people aren’t here to make it easier for you [1:07:49] Why are there so many guns in Chicago? In other black neighborhoods? Guns are being planted and dropped in these communities The government sets it up to keep these systems funded They light the fire [1:14:10] How this black jazz member dismantled a group of KKK through a conversation Darrell Davis episode on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast Had a conversation with white people and showed them the reliability Black people have been conditioned and so have white people to think a certain way [1:16:46] Interracial marriages and love Chase’s friend shared a post to see how many racists he knows saying “would you let your daughter marry a black man?” People brought up religion and other ideals to explain why they wouldn’t let that happen [1:19:21] What is white privilege? Some white people don’t like the term because it portrays that their life is easy Chase thinks too many people anchor white privilege on wealth and an easy upbringing but it’s not that To him, white privilege is getting the upper hand because of their color or name Benefiting in the workforce due to whiteness Cops not having their hand on their gun when you are pulled over Landlords skipping over the application [1:26:49] How Kevin gamed the system and got away from lack Kevin received opportunities by leaving out his GPA He had other credentials and experiences that weighed heavier than his grades His name also doesn’t seem black He worked hard to make the right movements [1:39:38] How can we stop losing focus? The looting and rioting and people being killed, distracting from the reason We need to stay focused on the matter and the reason People with money are trying to change the narrative [1:46:40] Diving into the looting and connection to politics There’s a difference between certain types of looting They are setting up bricks and encouraging this behavior People with money are trying to change the narrative The rhetoric on politics is that if you’re black then you have to vote Democratic People shouldn’t be party specific Don’t believe you have to pick a side [2:00:37] Candace Owens - the modern snitch Conservative black female She has now taken it too far, and is being ignorant White people using her as an anchor to prove that the black experience is BS Black people view her as a cop-out, racist with a black face [2:08:20] Symbols and their correlation to pain The swastika may cause pain to Jewish people The confederate flag may cause pain to black people, thinking it represents racism The MAGA hat now symbolizes white supremacist pride for this era People need to recognize that certain symbols do cause people pain [2:17:30] We need to fix the system There’s only so much that the people can do We need to change the dollar bill, we need wider change You can only march and have a peaceful protest for so long, without proper action being taken MLK was assassinated and he was peacefully protesting The first 8 out of 12 presidents had slaves All of our money has slave owners [2:27:39] Black on black crime Something that white people use to deflect from police brutality It does not exist “Black on black crime” is another example of infiltrating and propaganda to cast doubt [2:35:13] What can the black community do to make a change? Learn our history, discover the truth and understand the facts Build ourselves economically, become more entrepreneurial, stop making excuses and take action Make the choice to create generational wealth Personal Development [2:41:11] The Doll Test An experiment where kids of all races asked questions pertaining to Black vs. White Dolls All the positive questions asked was in favor of White Doll All the negative questions asked was in favor of Black Doll [2:43:20] Group Economics Black people have so much purchasing power yet we are broke Different cultures spend money within their community before they spend elsewhere Black wall street was the last community of thriving black people [2:45:46] What can white people do to make a change in the culture? Stop making excuses and using certain areas to defend our point They need to have empathy, understand and see what black people think before creating a counterargument Chase can see this side because he grew up and learned about black people Focus on your hiring practices, where you're spending your money, look at your habits and see why you made those decisions Check their perspective on police Educate our children that racism is not okay and teach them about white privilege Resources White Fragility Black Labor, White Wealth Snap Judgment - Daryl Davis podcast Post-Traumatic Slave SyndromeWed, 17 Jun 2020 - 2h 56min - 13 - 012: How This Olympian Overcame Hardship, Homelessness and Poverty to Become a Successful Author, Motivational Speaker, and Inspiration to Thousands

[22:25] Thoughts on Candace Owens
There were slaves that would snitch on the runaway slaves These slaves would receive perks for snitching, and the runaways would be murdered or beaten Candace Owens is the modern day Slave who puts down Black people to please White people[33:13] All black people want an opportunity
There’s black people that are educated, have high GPAs, intelligent but don’t get the same opportunities because of the color of their skin White kids are financially supported by their parents due to generational wealth, yet most black parents can barely afford to support their kids First thing successful black people do… buy their parents a home, take care of their parent’s debt, etc[39:43] We were white people’s first resources
The more slaves White people had when colonizing America, the more land they were given White people’s worth and value was based on the amount of land and slaves they owned People who founded the companies that are 100+ years old today… were slave most likely slave owners and it shows up in the company beliefs[42:91] The Wealth Gap

Community of lawyers, doctors, dentists, business owners 600 thriving businesses were burnt down by white supremacists 300+ Black people were killed The last community of thriving black people[55:00] Don’t condone looting or rioting but I understand “the why” behind doing it
