A special presentation of “Passion of Saint Maximilian Kolbe” by Dr. Kazimierz Braun on the occasion of the Feast Day of St. Maximilian Kolbe and the 80th anniversary of his death. This drama narrates the last period of the life of Saint Maximilian Kolbe. The story starts with Fr. Kolbe’s arrest by Germans during World War II on February 17th, 1941, goes through his sufferings in a prison in Warsaw, and ends with his martyrdom and death in the German concentration camp Auschwitz, on August 14th, 1941.
This presentation includes a special bonus feature at the end of the play with Dr. Kazimierz Braun. Dr. Braun is a writer, theatre director, and scholar. Based on his research in Kraków, Harmęże, Auschwitz, and Niepokalanów in Poland, as well as in Nagasaki, Japan, he has written three biographical plays on St. Maximilian Kolbe. He is considered one of the world’s foremost experts on St. Maximilian.
