Evangelism is really about bringing people to Jesus by talking about Jesus.

SHARE the GOSPEL to our ONE and help them to grow their faith in Jesus.

There are people all around us who need a true friend to bring them to Jesus.

All the big works of God towards the establishment of His church started with a prayer.

Each one must reach one.

Psalm chapter 1 opens with a “beatitude,” from the word “blessed.” It is a wisdom psalm and focuses on God’s Word, God’s blessing on those who meditate on it and obey it, and God’s ultimate judgment on those who rebel.

The man or person described in verses 1-3 is the one who 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐚 𝐁𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 from God.

What are specific features of a life that is Rooted in Christ, in His Word?

Jesus’ parable of the sower does not begin with what is produced but just like any other gardener; He begins with the kind of soil. If I desire to be rooted for fruitfulness, then I need to be planted in the right soil.

In the Parable of a Sower, Jesus wanted to reveal to us the kinds of human hearts that respond to the word of God. In other words, he gives us four different examples of how the human heart will often respond to the word of God.

Rootedness in Christ implies a deep, personal, and unshakeable connection with Him, akin to a strong and fruitful tree with a deep root system.

Through an angelic visitation, God revealed to Joseph the divine nature of Mary's pregnancy and his pivotal role in it. This revelation asked Joseph something beyond human courage—it demanded divine trust. Today, as we reflect on Joseph's journey, we are reminded of the times we too have faced the unexpected, the times God has called us to tasks that seem beyond our capacity. In Joseph's story, we find inspiration and guidance for such moments in our own lives. His response to God's call was not just obedience, but a courageous step of faith, embracing a path fraught with uncertainty and potential ridicule. As we open our hearts and minds to the scripture, let us consider how Joseph's example of faith and courage in the face of the unknown can illuminate our own paths, guiding us in times when God calls us to embrace the unexpected and trust in His divine plan.

Celebrating Christmas in a chaotic world can be very difficult for everyone, even us Christians. So how can we stay confident in the Lord when the world is in chaos? Well, the fifth answer is—stay committed. When unexpected things happen, stay committed to the plan of God. BUCCI CHRISMON SUNDAY

The discipline of centering our hearts and minds on Christ will require us to focus.

Simple togetherness is one of the main ingredients of love so simple we almost miss it. If we neglect to gather, we drift apart from one another and become disconnected. Being together reminds us of the needs we each have. We share the concerns of our hearts, we laugh and eat together, we worship at the throne of grace side by side, and God knits our hearts in love. Then human love increases our love for that same God who binds us.

We mustn't disregard the invaluable guidance in God's truth within His Word. Now, more than ever, we require it as it offers a solid foundation, especially when the world seems to be engulfed by shifting sands.

We are reconciled to God, we are also reconciled to Christ's church (where He calls us to covenant together joyfully). Guest Speaker Pastor Franco Ferrer from iDISCIPLE Phils.

All of God’s plan of salvation is centered and found only in Jesus Christ alone. There is no other savior, no other way to heaven, apart from Jesus Christ!

In celebration of Reformation Month, we begin our new series entitled “Foundation of Reformed Faith.” As a Christian church, we trace our historical roots to the 16th-century Protestant Reformation. The doctrine of justification deals with what may be the deepest existential problem a human being can ever face: How can a sinner, an unjust person, ever withstand the judgment of a holy and righteous God? As the psalmist said, 'If You, LORD, should mark iniquities, ... who could stand?" (Ps. 130:3). The question is obviously rhetorical. No one of us could possibly stand because none of us is righteous. For an unjust person to stand in the presence of a just God, that person must first be justified.

Reformed theology relentlessly applies the doctrine of God to all other doctrines, making it the chief control factor in all theology.

Three specific attributes of God stand out in Reformed Theology. And these three I want to focus on today.

1. The Self-Existence of God

2. The “Separateness” of God

3. The Sovereignty of God

As we close our 40 Days of Abundance, we will learn three precious and sure promises that those who abide in the True Vine can certainly enjoy.

Our abiding relationship with Jesus will really result in FULLNESS OF JOY. The greatest level of joy a Christian can achieve is when our joy is in His presence. That’s what David felt. That’s what every Christian should experience as we abide more in Christ.

You will show me the path of life;In Your presence is fullness of joy;At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.(Psalm 16:11 NKJV)

"Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”

We come to part 5 of our series 40 Days of Abundance. Remember, this is the third secret to abundant Christian living. In order for us to bear much fruit, Jesus is inviting us to abide in Him. This is the most wonderful thing in our relationship with Jesus—we abide in Him and He abides in us.

God didn't want me to do more for Him. He wanted me to be more with Him. After seeing God act in your life through discipline and pruning, you might think that you are now ready for the perfect program, perhaps a sophisticated New Testament strategy for multiplying growth in yourself and others. After all, if fruit equals good works, then surely "much fruit" must equal many more works, activities, programs, and ministries. But as we come to the third secret to abundance, Jesus turned the disciples' attention away from activity altogether. I imagine Jesus tracing the gnarled curve of an ancient vine, His fingertips pausing where the massive trunk divides into a branch. And then He said, Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. (v.4)

We've seen how God intervenes in His children’s lives when they are unproductive and fruitless because they are entangled with sin. God the Father disciplines them. And God’s discipline can vary from light to severe, even death. But what does He do when we are showing signs of productivity and fruitfulness? In this third week of our 40 Days of Abundance, we’re going to study from our passage God’s second secret to Abundance and fruitfulness. After Jesus told His disciples how the Gardener cared for the barren branch, He reached for a branch that showed vitality but produced only a few clusters of grapes. Listen again to what He said: "While every branch that does bear fruit He prunes so that it will be even more fruitful." (John 15:2)

Have you been hurt lately? Have you experienced pain that caused you to be stressed? Whether it comes from a person or circumstance, we don’t like to be hurt. We don’t like pain. But sometimes, a hurt is necessary and beneficial. Sometimes pain is necessary for us to gain. They are called the good hurt. That’s what we will talk about this morning.

God’s grace is so powerful it always changes us. However, it is not only available for salvation, but also for sanctification. James said, God “gives more grace” (4:6)—there is more grace available. God loves to lavish his grace on his children.

Have you experienced receiving a text message that shocked you and changed your life?  Well, that must have been the same experience Joseph had when he learned from the angel’s message that he was going to be the foster father of the Son of God, the Messiah, the King of kings and Lord of Lords.  One of the Miracles of Christmas is that God has sent His message to Mary and Joseph and the shepherds that the Savior of the world has come. A message that will definitely change people’s course of life forever.   But are people willing to listen to God’s message?

Part 2 of the Christmas Series "The Miracles of Christmas"

In our Christian tradition, the four weeks before Christmas day is called Advent. This is a time of preparation for the celebration of Jesus' birth. During this season Christians remember the Old Testament prophecies that God would send a Messiah and the New Testament promises that Jesus will come again.

As we begin the season of Advent, in preparing to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus, join us tomorrow and let us reflect on the the first candle of Advent which is the candle of Hope.

Great businesses would always say, “Quality control will make or break your company.” Quality control is essential in business, in public utilities, in agriculture, in education, in sports—in every area of life.   

It is vital to our personalities too. You and I are not exempt from the need for personal quality control. If we are going to be strong and effective people who can withstand the pressures of this world and bear a testimony and leave behind a legacy, we must be people of quality. The Bible has a word for that: Goodness. 

 "For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness;"  

The first step to the progress of our faith is Goodness.

It’s God’s power that enables us to progress in our Christian life so that we can face and overcome trials of life, to live the life for which we were created and saved for.

How do we acquire this power? He has given it to us, we did not earn it and we could not have earned it, it was undeserved and offered by grace. And we have received this power through our faith in Jesus Christ.

God’s workers are not indefatigable. Along the way of disciple-making, we can grow tired, weary, and sometimes, discouraged.

Discouragement is just a part of our Christian life. You may have hopes and dreams and desires for people’s lives, but they don’t come. Or maybe you spend and overextend yourself, and there’s an ungrateful heart, or an unjust criticism, which attempts to impugn your motives. Or maybe you’re discouraged with your lot in life, or maybe things aren’t working out. We all live with that, but God is a God of encouragement.

In Acts 17, we find a statement made by the enemies of the gospel about the missionary team: “These men who have turned the world upside down.”  That’s quite a statement, isn’t it? This small team is credited with turning the entire world upside down! How can we, present-day believers, do the same?

Although salvation is of the Lord, and is of grace alone. Salvation cannot happen apart from hearing the word. The word is the acting agent to produce faith. The word is what the Holy Spirit will use to regenerate a person to salvation.  

1 Pet. 1:23, “For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.”

Sometimes God closes doors to make way for better opportunities.

God doesn't need a Plan B. In His wise, incomprehensible ways, Gentiles were always part of the Salvation plan. We were always in Plan A, and He doesn't need a Plan B, C, D, or E.

Our goal and our purpose is not making disciples ONLY, but building up disciple-makers. What does that mean? It means we are in the business of training and equipping disciples who will make more disciples who will make more disciples who will make more disciples. In this chapter, let us learn how to do just that.

As we learned in last Sunday’s sermon, the early church in Antioch was a Spirit-led, Spirit-empowered church. May we be a church that hears the Holy Spirit, sends the best workers to the field, speak the Word boldly, and safeguard the church from wolves.

Acts 12:24, "But the word of God increased and multiplied." The Christians may have felt small and insignificant in the Roman empire; they may have thought that they were overpowered when some of their best leaders were killed on a political whim. But the truth is: if you remain in Jesus, you win, and if you oppose Jesus you lose. In this sermon, let us learn about the five truths in Acts 12 that contributed to the multiplying of the movement.

Colossians 3:11, Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.    Indeed, God responds to anyone who commits to Him. God rejects no one who comes to Him but requires those who call on Him to have faith in Jesus. In this sermon, we find the movement crossing barriers.

“Conversion is our willing response to the gospel call, in which we sincerely repent of sins and place our trust in Christ for salvation.” - Dr. Wayne Grudem

Today, we will study one of the most crucial chapters in the Book of Acts—the conversion of Saul, the Movement’s worst enemy. The conversion of Paul is pivotal, not only on which his life turned, but on which the history of the church turned. Let's learn from Acts Chapter 9

The previous chapter ended with the killing of Stephen by an angry and enraged Sanhedrin who could not tolerate the truth which he spoke and so they stoned him to death outside the city walls. Stephen was not the last. What happened that day started a wildfire of persecution that led to the scattering of believers all over the place. And what seemed to be the end of the movement is actually the beginning of God’s Expansion.

Persecution did not stop the church– it scattered it and expanded it.

Today as we study Acts 8, let us find three important Truths about the Expansion of God’s Movement.

The church had to get organized.

The two greatest words in the Christian life: trust and obey. And Stephen had them both. He believed God; he did what the Spirit told him to do. His life was full of the Holy Spirit. What does it mean to be filled with the Spirit? It means to be under the control of the Holy Spirit. It means that the fruit of the Holy Spirit is evident in his life. He has that reputation. People see that in him.

Let's learn more from Stephen's example in this sermon.

The church had to get organized.

It had to get organized to carry out effective ministry, and that ministry needed to be in the hands of the people who cared the most.  It had to get organized so that the people who needed to be proclaiming the Word of God all the time were continuing to do that and weren’t distracted by something else.

You have godly, gifted teachers and preachers who sustain the life of the church and the impact of the church by being the source of the spreading of the Word by which people are saved.  Then coming behind them, you have sincere, Spirit-filled, sensible people, dedicated people who have passionate concerns for various kinds of ministries.  You empower, enable, support those people for those ministries, and the church moves powerfully.  When all of those things are taking place, the testimony of the church is great, and the Lord adds to His church.

More than 2000 years have passed, and the church of Jesus Christ is still here, and very much alive. We are still preaching the same message, we are still worshiping Jesus Christ, and we are still pursuing people for the glory of God. Let's listen to this sermon to see all the ways the Movement is relentless.

The fear of the Lord and the comfort of the Holy Spirit bring peace and growth to the church. Treating the Lord with contempt by religious fakery should remain a fearful prospect in the church. God is not mocked. And the Holy Spirit is a great comfort here, because it is precisely by his indwelling power that we become real and authentic.

Sin among the saints is more serious than sin among the lost. Sin against the Holy Spirit is very serious. Be on guard against hypocrisy in your life.

Has there ever been a church like that?

Yes. The first church in Jerusalem was just like that. They enjoyed the miraculous display of the presence and power of God through the Holy Spirit on a daily basis. They saw souls saved in abundance. They were living in a day when the extraordinary was the order of the day. Imagine how dynamic and growing they were that on their inauguration day 3,000 got saved and baptized at one service.

Their secret? They were a movement that PRAYED.

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is all about the extraordinary Power that the Holy Spirit gives to the believers  This extraordinary power of the Holy Spirit is for witnessing or world evangelization purposes only.  The task of world evangelization is not yet complete.  Therefore the promise of this extraordinary power available for all believers for the purpose of world evangelization is still valid today.

This is the hour to recapture the movement of the Holy Spirit. This is the moment when the main thing needs to become the main thing once again. It’s time to deal with our personal issues and it’s time to deal with our sins so that the power of God might rest on us and that God might be pleased to save souls in this place. It’s time to Act now. Let the movement begin.  This is Part 1 of our new sermon series - Acts: The Movement Begins.  #ActsTheMovement
