IG: @lauonthego1 | lauonthego.com Welcome to Lau On The Go, a podcast about all things “on the go.” This pod will start in the travel space, but I’ll definitely be covering other topics like gluten-free eats & mental health. My goal is to encourage a life full of energy & adventure… & honestly, I want people to feel a little less alone in the world. I’m just a twenty whatever year old who has traveled to 20+ countries & lived in 4 cities. I’ve learned a lot about travel hacking & met smart af people along the way. I hope you feel inspired to take risks, follow your dreams, & stay on the go.

THIS EPISODE HOLDS MY FAVORITE TRAVEL STORY OF ALL TIME. No presh to listen tho.
Hi lovelies! Similarly to my India episode, in this one I discuss how I got to Türkiye, and more specifically, everything that went WRONG to get me here. My perspective on things going "wrong" has changed so much... I now am so grateful when this happens because I KNOW it's the universe re-shuffling things for the better. This has been proven to me multiple times. Tune in to find out. Also… please GIVE ME FEEDBACK! <3 I want to know what you want to hear about. Trust me, I’ll talk. xo's always, Lau.

In this episode, Lau talks about an unplanned date she went on... thousands of feet in the air on a Ryanair flight over a small cup of overly-priced airline coffee. Some unexpected and uncomfortable events led to this story, but that is often what people bond over, and sometimes the best stories come from times like this. The best part, you get to meet some cool af people, this lovely gentleman included.
Do you like little mini travel stories like this? I'll make more.
Love u guys.
Lau.

Instagram: @lauonthego1 | Website: lauonthego.com If you enjoy listening to Lau On The Go and want to support, please subscribe and leave 5-stars! <3
In this episode, Lau goes back to practical topics to discuss TRAVEL VISAS... specifically from an American passport holder's POV.
Not to rant, but sad fact: only 15% of Americans even hold a passport. An American passport is the 5th strongest in the world... We can enter into 144 countries & territories with no visa, that people from other countries have to jump through months or years of hoops to access. We really don't realize what we have, y'all.
Here are the websites/resources discussed in the ep:
Do I need a visa or nah?: https://www.passportindex.org/
Turkey Visa: https://www.evisa.gov.tr/en/
India Visa: https://www.india-visa-online.org/types/tourist-visa/
As always, I'm open to feedback, suggestions, topics to speak about... I WILL speak! Love u guys. Lau.

Instagram: @lauonthego1 | Website: lauonthego.com If you enjoy listening to Lau On The Go and want to support, please subscribe and leave 5-stars! <3
In this episode, Lau talks about how she hates to-do lists. They're overwhelming, boring, and make fun things suck. Lau dives into keeping the fun list separate from the work list or everything will feel like work, changing your perspective on "work work" lists from "to-do's" to "dream fuel", and the power of starting absurdly, microscopically, hilariously small.
In this journey of self growth and discovery, there is NO one size fits all and sitting with yourself for long enough to learn what works for you is crucial... there is a way for everyone, you just need to start looking WITHIN for yours. As always, I'm open to feedback, suggestions, topics to speak about... I WILL speak! Love u guys. Lau.

Thank you to all my subscribers who have left a review and shared <3Wuddup LOTG fam! I'm back! Today we're chatting with Hannah, my lovely guest from the hostel I volunteered at in Hvar, Croatia. She's a 25 year old American gal from Florida who has done anything but stay inside American borders.
Hannah tells her stories about going on mission around the world and living in a Romani community in Albania, as well as the time she SOLO HITCHHIKED ICELAND with NO PLAN?! What a woman and boy did I feel like a novice traveler when hearing her stories.
Anything is possible with travel, and that shows with Hannah. Listen to this episode if you're wanting to be challenged to avoid complacency, trust the universe and yourself, and do things you didn't even know existed.

HOW TO CONSERVE MONEY while traveling.
Rodney gives VERY PRACTICAL TIPS (which we discuss + listed below) on these topics that I know will be extremely helpful for other new & experienced travelers. Welcome RODNEY to the pod!!!

Lau.Fri, 02 Dec 2022 - 1h 02min - 12 - 11: i got hit by a car on a scooter twice (am i cursed?!).
IG:@lauonthego1| Website:lauonthego.com|
Ciao gang! Here's a quick little nugget episode I impromptu recorded around a month ago about feeling like I'm cursed... and how I think I'm about due for a perspective shift.
I've have a pretty huge fear of riding on mopeds or scooters (more details in ep), and I've done so with another person twice during my backpacking trip. And guess what, BOTH TIMES I was either run off the road or hit by a car. In the moment, of course I was like what in the actual f*ck!
Some perspective on this -- I now have two hilarious stories, and I was with incredibly competent drivers who reacted perfectly. I'm incredibly grateful I was with them since both times I was completely okay (what if I was with someone who didn't respond as well?).
This kind of shit can't stop us from getting back up and trying it again.
Something I remembered recently is that I totally asked the universe for wisdom and a story to tell in this lifetime.. and I've been thinking a lot lately about how if I'm going to have a good story, I'm gonna need to take some risks. And if I take risks, there's a solid af chance something will go wrong.
Think about anyone who has done anything good in this world... they likely didn't stay in their comfort zone, and they certainly didn't have it easy. They went THROUGH IT.
You need to be proud of yourself for putting yourself out there in the first place.
I used to think the whole "failure is a good thing" was such bullshit -- but literally not doing something right is proof that you tried it at all.
You didn't have to do that. You DID that though. Everything and everyone is a teacher and we cannot be afraid to learn.
Do it, pull yourself up, then do it again. Laugh it off. You're totally not cursed, you're just putting yourself out there... and you're more okay than you think, I promise.

Sam’s IG: @sammy.the.whammy | Lau's IG: @lauonthego1| Website:lauonthego.com | I'm on Wisdom now!Follow me here
On this highly requested episode, let’s talk about how to meet people and make friends while traveling (feat. my super fun amazing new friend, Sam). On God, it’s wayyyyy easier & way less scary than you think, especially if you stay in a hostel.
Remain open, smile, make eye contact, DANCE, BABY, stay at hostels, wear harem pants, and say yes to everything (pub crawls, free walking tours, etc). And just give it time! Patience is sometimes key.
In this episode, Sam & I chat about how we met in Madrid – from the very start to the events that led to us having deeper conversations and eventually meeting up again in Italy! (with no plan, of course).
Not every connection you make while traveling will blossom into a longer-term friendship, but the select few that you truly cherish, the ones you dedicate time and effort to… you’ll know which they are, and they will be so worth it.

Lau.Sun, 16 Oct 2022 - 27min - 9 - 08: eurail + interrail train passes in europe.
Instagram: @lauonthego1 | Website: lauonthego.com | https://www.eurail.com/en
hi babes! it has taken FOREVAAAA for me to finally publish this poddy eppy i recorded like 3 weeks ago lol 🤍 spoiler alert if you listen to this episode... i am now in croatia, not austria. i swear i'll catch up... i hope *facepalm*
i was sitting on a train thinking about this episode and took an IG poll right before recording, asking if it was rude to record an ep on a train. i received an overwhelming "eff it, just do it" response... this is lau on the go, after all, right? and i fully believe in imperfect production in favor of the real shit.
i have learned A TON about traveling through europe during the last two months, and one of the most common means of transport is by train. a large majority of europe is connected by public transport, especially between the larger cities, and train passes can be a great way to add flexibility to your travel and (ideally) to save money.
i answer pretty much every single freaking question i had and address every bizarre detail of the eurail/interrail pass in the podcast episode. there were SO many things i didn't know about the pass and i def have had a love/hate relationship with it (but in hindsight am SO GLAD i had it).
p.s. apologies in advance for how much i say "ummmm," as i didn't want to miss any detail, haha.
check it out, let me know if you have any questions and if this helps. i am your resource!

LauSat, 16 Jul 2022 - 1h 10min - 5 - 04: big life transitions.
Instagram: @lauonthego1 | Website: lauonthego.com | We’re adding some realness to podcast episode 04 and talking about transitions in life. I’m 100% guilty of being that girl who wants to transition into the next phase of life and learn new habits very quickly and seamlessly. But think about it this way… it takes 23 minutes to mentally transition between daily tasks… DAILY TASKS! E.g. a cooking mindset to a gym mindset, or a blogging mindset to a podcasting mindset. Soooo if we’re talking about habits you’ve been doing for 20 years, like working for someone else and transitioning to working for yourself, or living in a home to traveling the world… it’s going to take a little bit of time to make that transition and feel comfortable again. But this is a GOOD thing, it is brave. Follow what feels good and give yourself grace. Dig deep, find your why, and respect it with everything you are. Have fun and HOLD YOUR VISION. Love u. xo, Lau
