In conversation with Monika Adamski, Robert Holden sums up year 2019, and talks about plans for 2020.
We start off with a proposed redesign of the bus network in Queens and what community input can be. Councilman also confirms, there is a study to be conducted about possible subway line connecting Bay Ridge with Astoria, through Middle Village.
Councilman gives and update on the grade fraud investigations, as well as criminal justice reform.
The next topic is homeless situation – Councilman talks about the best scenarios on how to help the homeless, and he also evaluates Mayor Bill de Blasio’s actions in this topic.

Radio RAMPA visited US Ambassador to Poland Georgette Mosbacher in her residence in Warsaw. The interview took place on November 13, exactly a week after the Visa Waiver Program for Poland was announced, and two days after it started being effective.
Ambassador Mosbacher talks about the backstage of the decision on including Poland into the Visa Waiver Program – our country was waiting for that moment for over two decades. How did it happen so quickly? What steps had to be made? How the date of November 11 was chosen?
Ambassador Mosbacher also talks about her memories associated with Poles, about Polish-American alliance and what’s next in her agenda. She describes her cooperation with Polish government: Monika Adamski, the editor in chief of Radio RAMPA, asks Madam Ambassador if there is anything that troubles her in Poland and if there is anything in Poland, that she would want to see at home? Ambassador describes Poland as a strong NATO leader in the Eastern flank, and appreciates what Poland has achieved for the last 30 years.

After three years of being a Consul General of Poland in New York, Maciej Golubiewski is leaving for Brussels, Europe, where he will be a chief of cabinet of Janusz Wojciechowski, Commissioner of Agriculture in the European Union Commission.
In an interview, recorded on his last full day in New York, Mr. Golubiewski sums up his three years in office, talking about the most memorable events as well as the most challenging issues he faced.

Rampa News guest is Daniel Kurzyna, chief of staff of New York City Councilman Robert Holden. Daniel is the first Polish-American to hold such a high position in the New York City council. In conversation with Monika Adamski of Radio RAMPA, Daniel speaks about the beginning of his political career and what made him fall in love with politics. Daniel talks about his experience with helping his constituents and also, shares his proudest moments. Daniel also advises how can you get involved in local politics and what does it take to become a chief of staff in New York City Council.

Karolina Dehnhard, American lawyer of Polish descent was honored with the Leadership Honoree Award at the annual gala of Multiple Sclerosis Association of America on November 2 in Woodland Park, NJ.

Radio RAMPA’s guest is Daniel Donovan, US Representative for New York’s 11th Congressional district, including Staten Island and South Brooklyn. As a Republican, Dan Donovan was endorsed by President Donald Trump before the primaries. Now, he will be facing a democratic candidate Max Rose on November 6, 2018.

In our conversation we start off with talking about Congressman’s Polish roots and his Polish upbringing. But then we switch the topic to the upcoming midterm elections: will the Republicans keep the majority? How have the last weeks, and especially the confirmation process of Brett Kavanaugh, affected the politics and what is to come? Radio RAMPA asks about Donovan’s stance on immigration issues, including the solution to the undocumented immigrants already in New York City, as well as the case of lessening the penalties for the use of marihuana in public.

Paul Chowansky's great-grandparents came to this country in 1883 from what is now called Uscie Gorlickie, Poland. Then it was part of the Austrian- Hungarian empire in Slovakia. They came with one infant son. Their headstone in Shenandoah, PA.
Now retired, Paul has a wish - to get to know his past, learn about his ancestors from Poland, to get to know their story better. His dream is to visit Poland and the village his family come from.

Panna Maria is the site of the first and oldest Polish settlement in the United States and is listed in the US Register of Historic Places. That is the place that was established in 1854 by father Leopold Moczygemba, and it was first home for 100 Polish families that immigrated from Silesia region of Poland.
Now, that is the site where Polish Heritage Center in Texas is being created. The 16,500 square foot building shell is complete. The organizers raised more than half of $14 million required to complete the construction.
As the organizers say, the Center will give "an opportunity to honor your ancestors, an opportunity to pay tribute to your forebears who sacrificed and sweated, and embraced the American Dream, paving the way for the rewards you are able to reap today."
