- 20 - 'Concert for Ukraine' with Green Secret Band in Point Pleasant, NJ
Green Secret is a band known to the Polish-American audience, from New York to Miami. Now, the band will perform during a charity event in Point Pleasant Beach in New Jersey. "Concert for Ukraine" will take place on April 10, at a popular Jenks Club at Jenks Pavilion.
The event will begin with the performance by Ukrainian Chorus of Dumka of New York, who the audience may know from their performance at Saturday Night Live. Other artists will include, among others: Joe Bonanno and the Godsons, Ed Testa Band, Steve Forbert, Bobby Bandiera and Friends - and Green Secret.
Green Secret performs their original songs, but for this special event, they will also play a cover of a Polish song "Krakowski Spleen."
Radio RAMPA talked to Reda Woodcock, who is a bass player for the band. Reda, who joined Green Secret in 2020, also talks about his musical journey.

Ambassador Mosbacher talks about the backstage of the decision on including Poland into the Visa Waiver Program – our country was waiting for that moment for over two decades. How did it happen so quickly? What steps had to be made? How the date of November 11 was chosen?
Ambassador Mosbacher also talks about her memories associated with Poles, about Polish-American alliance and what’s next in her agenda. She describes her cooperation with Polish government: Monika Adamski, the editor in chief of Radio RAMPA, asks Madam Ambassador if there is anything that troubles her in Poland and if there is anything in Poland, that she would want to see at home? Polish Minister of Entrepreneurship and Technology Jadwiga Emilewicz met with the representatives of the US Commerce Department as well as the Undersecretary of State in Washington, DC just a day after the summit of President Donald Trump and President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, and also, just couple days after the NATO summit.
The conversations was centered around opportunities for the Polish companies to enter the US market with the focus on technology and food industry, but most importantly, on the outcomes of the NATO and Helsinki summit with regards to Poland. Although Poland is somehow satisfied with the assurances from the American government with regards to Nord Stream 2, there are still unanswered questions about Ukraine or sanctions:

Paul Chowansky's great-grandparents came to this country in 1883 from what is now called Uscie Gorlickie, Poland. Then it was part of the Austrian- Hungarian empire in Slovakia. They came with one infant son. Their headstone in Shenandoah, PA.
Now retired, Paul has a wish - to get to know his past, learn about his ancestors from Poland, to get to know their story better. His dream is to visit Poland and the village his family come from.

Panna Maria is the site of the first and oldest Polish settlement in the United States and is listed in the US Register of Historic Places. That is the place that was established in 1854 by father Leopold Moczygemba, and it was first home for 100 Polish families that immigrated from Silesia region of Poland.
Now, that is the site where Polish Heritage Center in Texas is being created. The 16,500 square foot building shell is complete. The organizers raised more than half of $14 million required to complete the construction.
As the organizers say, the Center will give "an opportunity to honor your ancestors, an opportunity to pay tribute to your forebears who sacrificed and sweated, and embraced the American Dream, paving the way for the rewards you are able to reap today."
