In this 6th episode, Peter Deng (Founder and CEO of Africa World Books) spoke about his journey from South Sudan to Australia. As a former refugee, Peter had an uneasy journey from South Sudan to Kenya as he fled armed conflict in what was then southern Sudan (now South Sudan).
Nevertheless, he thrived in his new country (Australia) academically and professionally. He started Africa World Books after realizing that there's little to no recorded history and literature on South Sudan, and is now working hard to create, distribute, and document old and new literature about South Sudan and its people.
