This week on the Fozcast we are joined by the man who has the fastest goal ever in Premier League history, scoring in 7.69 seconds and you never guess who was in goal, our very own Ben Foster! Of course it’s Ireland international Shane Long! Shane has been a guest we’ve wanted to have on the Fozcast for a long time and he didn’t disappoint. He told us all about what the Irish squad get up too when they go away on international break, which is traditionally very different from the English culture. We also look back on his career, specifically that Southampton squad in 2015 where they had the likes of Virgil Van Dijk, Sadio Mane, James Ward-Prowse, Dusan Tadic and many more. Liverpool run riot at Old Trafford and Mark Goldbridge is not a happy man!!!  Ben is joined by Tom, Watto and Goldbridge to discuss the weekend’s action as Arne Slot’s impressive start to the season continued with a 3-0 win over Man Utd.  Mohamed Salah scored again against the Red Devils, but it was his comments after the game that grabbed the headlines - could it be the end of his Liverpool career?  Elsewhere in the Premier League, it was a bad weekend for Sean Dyche’s Everton. Everyone at the Cycling GK is saddened to learn of the passing of former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson, who has died at the age of 76.  Noni Madueke ensured he was the in the news for the right reasons after his earlier mishap on social media about Wolverhampton… The youngster bagged a hat-trick as Chelsea hit Wolves for 6 in Enzo Maresca’s first away match in charge of the Blues.  Ben, Tom and Watto also went through the rest of the action from an action-packed weekend in the top-flight, including a stunning save from David Raya in Arsenal’s 2-0 win at Aston Villa and Erling Haaland’s TENTH Man City hat-trick as they smashed Ipswich.  Joao Pedro grabbed a late winner for Brighton on Saturday as they beat Manchester United 2-1 at the AMEX. The former Watford man got the winner deep into added time after Danny Welbeck had earlier netted his 100th club goal of his career.  Arne Slot’s first competitive game at Anfield as Liverpool boss saw him get off to winning ways againt Brentford, whilst Spurs were in fine form as they hit four past a sorry looking Everton.  Elsewhere, there were wins for Fulham, West Ham and Nottingham Forest and VAR was once again a sore topic as Bournemouth were denied a last-minute winner against Newcastle.  All that to come plus an epic Quiz, let’s go! James is a bit of a Southampton legend, having been there since the age of 6 meaning he was there for over 20 years. It’s another GK special for you all this week. We had the pleasure of current Manchester United GK, former England International and Burnley Legend, Tom Heaton! Tom started his career at the mighty Manchester United where he had multiple loan moves. In 2010, he got a permanent move to Cardiff City where he was runners up in the League Cup in the 2011/12 season. Heaton’s big move was a transfer to Burnley in 2013 where he made 188 appearances and won the Championship in the 2015/16 season, which then lead to his first England call up and debut. Today in the studio we welcome a stalwart of the Premier League era and England International, Tom Cleverly! Cleverly's professional career begun at Old Trafford in 2008. His big break would come in the red shirt in the 11-12 season as Sir Alex Ferguson chose him to be the replacement of the recently retired legend, Paul Scholes. On this special episode of the Fozcast, we take you through Ben's most lucrative contract he ever received while being a professional Goalkeeper. In July of 2011, Ben joined the Midlands rivals of his previous club Birmingham City, West Bromwich Albion. In that season, he played 37 of their 38 games and equalling West Brom's all time clean sheet record of 10. This led West Brom to sign Ben on a permanent deal for the sum of £4,000,000. Today we have current Leicester City player and England International Conor Coady on the podcast! Conor began his professional career at the Liverpool academy eventually playing 2 games for the Reds. After two short spells at Sheffield United and Huddersfield, Conor found himself at the club that would cement himself as one of the brightest English defensive prospects. Today we have a Premier League legend on the Fozcast, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. Bursting into the Premier League with Leeds United before a big money move to Atletico Madrid where despite scoring 24 league goals, Madrid were relegated from the top tier of Spanish football. This opened the door for a huge move back to the Premier league with Chelsea for a record fee of £15 million. It didn't take long for him to get off the mark for the Blues as he was able to score on his debut at Wembley in the Charity Shield versus the mighty Manchester United and from that point onwards, the rest is history. In four years at Stamford Bridge he scored 69 goals in 136 games, placing him firmly in the minds and hearts of Chelsea fans for years to come.
