WOW. What an ending to the MLB season. The Los Angeles Dodgers have won the World Series in five games. Canadian Freddie Freeman was named World Series MVP with four home runs and tied a World Series record with 12 RBI. We never thought we would see anything like the 2015 ALDS again, but it has happened in the World Series. The New York Yankees made three costly errors in the fifth inning, giving up FIVE unearned runs to allow the Dodgers to tie the game. We will break down the World Series in totality, the game four antics from Yankees fans, and Leo Jiminez and his season performance with the organization. Thu, 31 Oct 2024 - 35min - 2005 - Anthony Santander To The Toronto Blue Jays? | Free Agent Analysis/Contract Details
The Toronto Blue Jays have a very obvious need going into this offseason: they desperately need a power bat. As we know, Ross Atkins is not in favor of power bats, but many analysts have Anthony Santander signing with the Blue Jays this offseason. Anthony Santander is coming off the best season of his career, with 44 home runs on the season which was good for 3rd best in all of baseball. The Blue Jays have money to spend this offseason and would be able to compete in the open market to bring Anthony Santander to Toronto. Is this the right fit for the Blue Jays? In this episode, we discuss our thoughts on Anthony Santander and what we believe a contract will look like for the upcoming seasons. To end things off, we have another question of the day from one of our listeners. Your current Toronto Blue Jays roster: Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Bo Bichette, Kevin Gausman, Jordan Romano, Alek Manoah, Yariel Rodriguez, George Springer, Jose Berrios, Chris Bassitt, Justin Turner, Daulton Varsho, Alejandro Kirk, Joey Votto, Erik Swanson, Leo Jimenez, Davis Schneider, Ernie Clement, Spencer Horwitz, Chad Green, Jake Bloss, Genesis Cabrera, Bowden Francis, Joey Loperfido, Orelvis Martinez, Ricky Tiedemann, Zach Pop, Addison Barger, Nathan Lukes, Aaron Sanchez, Cutter Coffey, Will Wagner, Dillon Tate, Tommy Nance, Jonatan Clase, Steward Berroa Intro: 0:00 Anthony Santander To The Blue Jays?: What Would A Contract Look Like?: Question Of The Day: Outro: Twitter: @Brayden5Ewasko @Carterfuerst2 Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@dialedinjays JOIN OUR DISCORD!: https://discord.gg/Sc9NQRpC Follow & Subscribe on all Podcast platforms… 🎧 https://link.chtbl.com/LOBlueJays?sid=YouTube Locked On MLB League-Wide: Every Team, Prospects & More 🎧 https://linktr.ee/LockedOnMLB #BlueJays #TorontoBlueJays #MLB

Tue, 29 Oct 2024 - 30min - 2003 - Will The Toronto Blue Jays Spend Enough Money In Free Agency To Be Competitive In 2025? | Blue Jays Positional Needs
Free Agency is rapidly approaching for the 2025 MLB season. With an extremely disappointing season, the fans expect Ross Atkins and the rest of the front office to be active in retooling this team for more success in the future. This is the biggest offseason in Blue Jays history with all that is up in the air with the organization. The result of the 2025 Blue Jays season will resolve any unanswered questions surrounding the direction of the Toronto Blue Jays, whether that is to compete for the World Series or to blow up this core and try to rebuild for the future. Mon, 28 Oct 2024 - 35min - 2002 - Which Former Toronto Blue Jay Is Going To Win The World Series? | World Series Predictions/Player Reviews
The World Series is upon us. There are three former Blue Jays that will be playing in this series that we will be keeping a close eye on, looking for them to make an impact on the most important series in baseball. In this episode, we talk about the former Blue Jays in The World Series, which players we would like to see win a championship, and our predictions for the 2024 World Series. We then continue with our season reviews on players who were traded from the Toronto Blue Jays at this year's trade deadline. In this episode, we focus on Kevin Keirmaier and Danny Jansen. Kevin Keirmaier had a great 2023 with the Blue Jays, as he was an above-average hitter while still playing some of the best outfield defense in the league. This season was not the same. As many predicted, Keirmaier regressed substantially and was under the hot seat in Toronto, as subpar hitting was a common theme in Toronto before the trade deadline. To end the week, we analyze Danny Jansen’s career with the Toronto Blue Jays, giving our perspective of the Danny Jansen experience in Toronto. Your current Toronto Blue Jays roster: Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Bo Bichette, Kevin Gausman, Jordan Romano, Alek Manoah, Yariel Rodriguez, George Springer, Jose Berrios, Chris Bassitt, Justin Turner, Daulton Varsho, Alejandro Kirk, Joey Votto, Erik Swanson, Leo Jimenez, Davis Schneider, Ernie Clement, Spencer Horwitz, Chad Green, Jake Bloss, Genesis Cabrera, Bowden Francis, Joey Loperfido, Orelvis Martinez, Ricky Tiedemann, Zach Pop, Addison Barger, Nathan Lukes, Aaron Sanchez, Cutter Coffey, Will Wagner, Dillon Tate, Tommy Nance, Jonatan Clase, Steward Berroa Intro: 0:00 World Series Preview/Former Blue Jays: 1:50 Kevin Keirmaier Season Breakdown: 17:11 Danny Jansen Blue Jays Recap: 25:13 Outro: 32:27 Twitter: @Brayden5Ewasko @Carterfuerst2 Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@dialedinjays JOIN OUR DISCORD!: https://discord.gg/Sc9NQRpC Follow & Subscribe on all Podcast platforms… 🎧 https://link.chtbl.com/LOBlueJays?sid=YouTube Locked On MLB League-Wide: Every Team, Prospects & More 🎧 https://linktr.ee/LockedOnMLB #BlueJays #TorontoBlueJays #MLB
Fri, 25 Oct 2024 - 33min - 2000 - Will Chad Green Win AL Comeback Player Of The Year? | MLB Awards: Who Will Take Home The Hardware?
The MLB has come out with its major award nominations for the 2024 season. Unsurprisingly, the Toronto Blue Jays do not have anyone nominated for the AL MVP or AL Cy Young Awards, but we do have a nominee for AL Comeback Player Of The Year, Chad Green. Chad Green had a very underrated season in Toronto in 2024. With injuries to Erik Swanson and Jordan Romano, Green had to step up this season and was an effective Toronto Blue Jays relief pitcher in the many roles he was thrown into. Does Chad Green deserve to win AL Comeback Player Of The Year? Were there any Blue Jays that should have been nominated for an award? In this episode, we give our thoughts on the Chad Green nomination and whether we believe there should have been more Blue Jays nominated. We also dive into the All MLB Team Awards and their nominations, giving our thoughts on their picks for the awards. We end today's episode by talking about the new hitting coach in Toronto and what his impact will be on the 2025 Blue Jays lineup, as well as answering another listener's question about the current state of the Toronto Blue Jays. Your current Toronto Blue Jays roster: Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Bo Bichette, Kevin Gausman, Jordan Romano, Alek Manoah, Yariel Rodriguez, George Springer, Jose Berrios, Chris Bassitt, Justin Turner, Daulton Varsho, Alejandro Kirk, Joey Votto, Erik Swanson, Leo Jimenez, Davis Schneider, Ernie Clement, Spencer Horwitz, Chad Green, Jake Bloss, Genesis Cabrera, Bowden Francis, Joey Loperfido, Orelvis Martinez, Ricky Tiedemann, Zach Pop, Addison Barger, Nathan Lukes, Aaron Sanchez, Cutter Coffey, Will Wagner, Dillon Tate, Tommy Nance, Jonatan Clase, Steward Berroa Intro: 0:00 Chad Green Comeback Player Of The Year Nomination: 1:45 All MLB Team Nominations: 15:06 Question Of The Day: 29:06 Outro: 35:37 Twitter: @Brayden5Ewasko @Carterfuerst2 Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@dialedinjays JOIN OUR DISCORD!: https://discord.gg/Sc9NQRpC Follow & Subscribe on all Podcast platforms… 🎧 https://link.chtbl.com/LOBlueJays?sid=YouTube Locked On MLB League-Wide: Every Team, Prospects & More 🎧 https://linktr.ee/LockedOnMLB #BlueJays #TorontoBlueJays #MLB
Thu, 24 Oct 2024 - 36min - 1998 - Were Toronto Blue Jays Fans Too Hard On Justin Turner? Was The Slander Justified?
We continue our season reviews of the players traded from the Toronto Blue Jays at this year's trade deadline. In this episode, we analyze Justin Turner and Trevor Richards and their tenures with the Toronto Blue Jays. Justin Turner was the Toronto Blue Jays biggest signing of the offseason. With an offense that struggled immensely in 2023, it was very surprising that this was the biggest acquisition of the Blue Jays batting order, as this was an area of need going into the offseason. Trevor Richards joined the Blue Jays in 2021 and has had a very up-and-down career as a part of the club, fulfilling many different roles in his time with the organization. In this episode, we break down the 2024 seasons of Justin Turner and Trevor Richards, analyzing how important they were to this roster, their impacts on the Blue Jays, and the overall productivity of their career with the Toronto Blue Jays. To end the episode, we break down another great question from our listeners regarding a problem the Blue Jays will run into this offseason. Your current Toronto Blue Jays roster: Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Bo Bichette, Kevin Gausman, Jordan Romano, Alek Manoah, Yariel Rodriguez, George Springer, Jose Berrios, Chris Bassitt, Justin Turner, Daulton Varsho, Alejandro Kirk, Joey Votto, Erik Swanson, Leo Jimenez, Davis Schneider, Ernie Clement, Spencer Horwitz, Chad Green, Jake Bloss, Genesis Cabrera, Bowden Francis, Joey Loperfido, Orelvis Martinez, Ricky Tiedemann, Zach Pop, Addison Barger, Nathan Lukes, Aaron Sanchez, Cutter Coffey, Will Wagner, Dillon Tate, Tommy Nance, Jonatan Clase, Steward Berroa Intro: 0:00 Justin Turner Season Breakdown: 1:58 Trevor Richards Season Breakdown: 15:12 Question Of The Day: 26:49 Outro: 33:20 Twitter: @Brayden5Ewasko @Carterfuerst2 Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@dialedinjays JOIN OUR DISCORD!: https://discord.gg/Sc9NQRpC Follow & Subscribe on all Podcast platforms… 🎧 https://link.chtbl.com/LOBlueJays?sid=YouTube Locked On MLB League-Wide: Every Team, Prospects & More 🎧 https://linktr.ee/LockedOnMLB #BlueJays #TorontoBlueJays #MLB
Wed, 23 Oct 2024 - 34min - 1997 - Are The Blue Jays The Most Underwhelming Team In The MLB?| Which Team’s Record Shocked You The Most?
The 2024 Toronto Blue Jays season was an overall disappointment. With the 8th highest payroll in baseball, the expectation was that the Blue Jays would make the playoffs. As we know, this did not happen. Every MLB team has expectations at the start of every season, whether that’s to make the World Series, make the playoffs, or even finish the season above .500. Fortunately for Blue Jays fans, many teams fail to meet expectations in a given season, and a few teams will overachieve in their expectations and shock the league with their performance. In this episode, we break down the expectations for all teams in the MLB, analyzing the perspective of each team going into the season and whether they would win their division, be in the hunt in the wildcard race, or miss the playoffs entirely. We continue our season reviews of the players traded from the Blue Jays at this year's trade deadline. In this episode, we dive into IKF and Yimi Garcia, and their tenures with the Toronto Blue Jays. When IKF signed with the Toronto Blue Jays, we were not huge fans of the signing, but he proved us wrong and had a very successful season with the Blue Jays. Yimi Garcia needed to step up this season with a ton of bullpen injuries, and he was effective in doing so. In this episode, we break down the 2024 seasons of Yimi Garcia and Isiah Kiner Falefa, analyzing how important they were to this roster, their impacts on the Blue Jays, and the overall productivity of their career with the Toronto Blue Jays. To end things off, we answer a listener question and give our takes on the best way to resolve issues that arise throughout the MLB season. Mon, 23 Sep 2024 - 33min - 1967 - Vladimir Guerrero Jr Makes History! But Bo Bichette Suffers A Season-Ending Injury…. WHAT Next For The Toronto Blue Jays?
The Toronto Blue Jays win the last game of their series against the Texas Rangers 4-0. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit his 29th and 30th home run of the season in this game, making him the only Blue Jay ever to have three years with at least 30 home runs in three seasons while being age 25 or younger. This effort was vital to a Blue Jays win, as the only other offense in the game came from a sacrifice fly from Nathan Lukes and a fielding error by the Rangers. Just when we thought we would be able to watch Bo Bichette play baseball, we got fooled. Unfortunately, Bo Bichette had an injury in the pre-game warm-up that will end his season after only one game back from the IL In this episode, we recap the last game of the Blue Jays and Rangers series, analyzing highlights and lowlights from the game, breaking down Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Kevin Gausman, Bo Bichette and many more performances, as well as all the new and shocking news and storylines surrounding your Toronto Blue Jays. Fri, 20 Sep 2024 - 39min - 1966 - Was This The Best Toronto Blue Jays Trade At This Year's MLB Trade Deadline? | What Happened To Bo Bichette?
The Toronto Blue Jays lost another game to the Texas Rangers, this game being the complete opposite of what we witnessed on Tuesday. The Blue Jays were only able to muster five hits, as Cody Bradford was able to keep hitters off balance all night long with his fastball-changeup combination. Bowden Francis unfortunately took the loss in a great outing, with his only blemish being a home run given to Adolis Garcia. With all the trades at the trade deadline, there is one that seems to be severely underrated by Blue Jays fans. In this episode, we break down one player acquired at the trade deadline and his performance on the Blue Jays thus far. Will this player be on the Blue Jays major league roster next season? We then cover the second game of the Blue Jays vs Rangers series, going over the highlights and player performances that stood out. Also, what happened to Bo Bichette? We will review all this and more on this episode of Locked On Blue Jays. Thu, 19 Sep 2024 - 38min - 1965 - Bo Bichette is BACK! Will He Be Able To Return To His Superstar Form? | Blue Jays vs Rangers
The Toronto Blue Jays had a wild game against the Texas Rangers, as the teams combined for twenty-one runs. Unfortunately, the Blue Jays could not come out on top, dropping the game 13-8 due to a pitching meltdown across the board. Chris Bassitt was not able to locate the ball and made a costly error, while the bullpen did not do much better in their effort, giving up six runs over their five and a third innings of relief. There was a mirage of roster moves before this game, as Bo Bichette and Steward Berroa were promoted to the Blue Jays, while Daulton Varsho and Will Wagner were both placed on IL, ending their season. In this episode, we break down the roster moves and how this will affect the Blue Jays blueprint for the future, as well as analyze the highlights and big moments of the first game of the series against the Texas Rangers. Bowden Francis took a no-hit bid into the 9th inning for the second time in his last four games, ending with a solo shot to lead off the ninth inning once again. Once he was pulled, Chad Green could not find his command and found a way to lose the lead, with all this being capped off by a first-pitch home run off Genesis Cabrera. Tue, 10 Sep 2024 - 37min - 1956 - What Is The *REAL PROBLEM* With The 2024 Toronto Blue Jays
The Toronto Blue Jays drop the series against the Atlanta Braves 2-1, losing the rubber match in extra innings. While this does help with the Blue Jays in their ability to tank for a better draft pick, it is not fun watching this baseball team throw away games that they have excellent chances of winning. The defense was an issue with the Blue Jays in game 3, as the infield had some mishaps that extended innings and gave the Braves free chances at clawing back into the game. Spencer Horwitz had a legacy game on Saturday, belting two home runs and cashing in for 11 total bases on the day. Thu, 18 Jul 2024 - 53min - 1917 - Do The Toronto Blue Jays Have The Worst Bullpen In All Of Baseball? | Day 2 Draft Analysis
The Toronto Blue Jays are still in the middle of their all-star weekend, so we decided to continue our mid-season rankings and draft analysis during this episode. The Blue Jays went pitcher-heavy this draft, taking four pitchers in the first six rounds of the draft. Johnny King was a pick we liked for the Toronto Blue Jays on day two, as well as grabbing catcher Aaron Parker for a middle-round power-bat for this prospect system. It was a good idea for this team draft a lot of pitchers, as this bullpen has debatable been the worst bullpen in all of baseball this season. With underperforming players, injuries, and unforeseen circumstances, this bullpen has been a mess since the start of the season. In this episode, we break down day 2 of the MLB draft and its implications on the future of the Toronto Blue Jays, as well as some updates from Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and the all-star game. In the second half, we go over the struggles of the bullpen, analyzing what went wrong, and giving out letter grades for their performances in 2024. Your current Toronto Blue Jays roster: Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Bo Bichette, Kevin Gausman, Jordan Romano, Alek Manoah, Yariel Rodriguez, George Springer, Yusei Kikuchi, Jose Berrios, Chris Bassitt, Justin Turner, Daulton Varsho, Danny Jansen, Alejandro Kirk, Joey Votto, Erik Swanson, Kevin Kiermaier, Isiah Kiner-Falefa, Davis Schneider, Ernie Clement, Spencer Horwitz, Chad Green, Tim Mayza, Trevor Richards, Genesis Cabrera, Yimi Garcia, Bowden Francis, Ryan Burr, Orelvis Martinez, Ricky Tiedemann, Zach Pop, Addison Barger, Nate Pearson, Nathan Lukes, Aaron Sanchez. Wed, 17 Jul 2024 - 42min - 1916 - Mid-Season Review: How Much Of The Blue Jays Struggles Can Be Blamed On The Starting Pitchers?
The Toronto Blue Jays are in the middle of the all-star week and do not play another regular season game until Friday. With this break during the week, we decided to go through the Blue Jays starting rotation and give them letter grades based on their performance this season. We graded these players based on their expectations, meaning we expect more from players like Kevin Gausman who received Cy Young votes throughout his career. In contrast, we did not expect as much from a player like Yariel Rodriguez, as he had not thrown in the MLB until this season. In this episode, we analyze the first half of the season from Kevin Gausman, Jose Berrios, Chris Bassitt, Yusei Kikuchi and Yariel Rodiguez, going over both the eye test and the analytic side of their games, giving a letter grade out to each specific player. Your current Toronto Blue Jays roster: Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Bo Bichette, Kevin Gausman, Jordan Romano, Alek Manoah, Yariel Rodriguez, George Springer, Yusei Kikuchi, Jose Berrios, Chris Bassitt, Justin Turner, Daulton Varsho, Danny Jansen, Alejandro Kirk, Joey Votto, Erik Swanson, Kevin Kiermaier, Isiah Kiner-Falefa, Davis Schneider, Ernie Clement, Spencer Horwitz, Chad Green, Tim Mayza, Trevor Richards, Genesis Cabrera, Yimi Garcia, Bowden Francis, Ryan Burr, Orelvis Martinez, Ricky Tiedemann, Zach Pop, Addison Barger, Nate Pearson, Nathan Lukes, Aaron Sanchez. Tue, 16 Jul 2024 - 45min - 1915 - How Good Is Toronto Blue Jays First Round Pick Trey Yesavage? | RHP Pitching Prospect| MLB Draft Analysis
It was a big weekend for Toronto Blue Jays baseball. The MLB draft took place on Sunday, July 14th as the Toronto Blue Jays selected two pitchers with their first and second round picks. Trey Yesavage, is a 20-year-old right-handed pitcher out of East Carolina. With their second pick, the Blue Jays selected 21-year-old right-handed pitcher Khal Stephen out of Mississippi State. Trey Yesavage was the 11th ranked prospect in the draft, while Khal Stephen was the 88th ranked prospect, according to MLB Pipeline. Were these the right picks for the future of the Toronto Blue Jays? The Blue Jays had a series over the weekend against the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Blue Jays looked to win their third series in a row. Unfortunately, they lost two out of three games, heading into the all-star break eight games under .500. In this episode, we break down the first two rounds of the draft analyzing the Toronto Blue Jays draft picks, as well as going over the weekend series game by game, going over the good, the bad and the ugly from the weekend. Mon, 15 Jul 2024 - 42min - 1914 - Is It Too Little Too Late For The Toronto Blue Jays To Make A Playoff Run? | Giants vs Blue Jays
The Toronto Blue Jays have won their second series in a row on this road trip, beating the San Francisco Giants 5-3 in the third game of the series. Kevin Gausman looked like prime Gausman in this game, eating up seven innings while only giving up 2 earned runs. He threw a ton of fastballs today, which seemed to keep Giants hitters off-balance. Spencer Horwitz and George Springer continue to be hot at the plate, as they started the first inning rally, with Spencer Horwitz adding a long solo home run in the fifth inning. Some big news came out today about Kevin Kiermaier as he was placed on revocable waivers. As we all know, Kevin Kiermaier has struggled immensely at the plate this season, which has not helped this Toronto Blue Jays offense that has struggled to produce runs. In this episode, we break down the third game of the Blue Jays and Giants series, who’s hot and who’s not, what revocable waivers mean and what Kevin Kiermaier’s future with the Toronto Blue Jays. Your current Toronto Blue Jays roster: Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Bo Bichette, Kevin Gausman, Jordan Romano, Alek Manoah, Yariel Rodriguez, George Springer, Yusei Kikuchi, Jose Berrios, Chris Bassitt, Justin Turner, Daulton Varsho, Danny Jansen, Alejandro Kirk, Joey Votto, Erik Swanson, Kevin Kiermaier, Isiah Kiner-Falefa, Davis Schneider, Ernie Clement, Spencer Horwitz, Chad Green, Tim Mayza, Trevor Richards, Genesis Cabrera, Yimi Garcia, Bowden Francis, Ryan Burr, Orelvis Martinez, Ricky Tiedemann, Zach Pop, Addison Barger, Nate Pearson, Nathan Lukes, Aaron Sanchez. Fri, 12 Jul 2024 - 38min - 1912 - Massive Blue Jays Injuries + Offensive Explosion: Are These Players The Key To Fixing The Blue Jays?
The Toronto Blue Jays bounced back, winning the second game of the series against the San Francisco Giants 10-6. Chris Bassitt struggled within the first two innings of his day, throwing over 60 pitches in two innings and struggling with command early on. He did fight back to give the Blue Jays a serviceable start by pitching five innings of three-run ball. Ernie Clement did it again, he hit another three-run home run to the exact same spot of the ballpark, on another breaking pitch low and in. One problem for the Blue Jays today was the injury bug struck three players with Kevin Kiermaier, Bo Bichette, and Daulton Varsho all looking uncomfortable after their respective plays. On a positive note, the offense came to play. 14 hits and 10 runs, 7 of them being off Logan Webb who is leading the NL in innings pitched. In this episode, we recap the second game of the Blue Jays and Giants series, cover all the injuries from this game, the trade deadline direction, and analyze Blue Jays legend Tim Mayza. Your current Toronto Blue Jays roster: Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Bo Bichette, Kevin Gausman, Jordan Romano, Alek Manoah, Yariel Rodriguez, George Springer, Yusei Kikuchi, Jose Berrios, Chris Bassitt, Justin Turner, Daulton Varsho, Danny Jansen, Alejandro Kirk, Joey Votto, Erik Swanson, Kevin Kiermaier, Isiah Kiner-Falefa, Davis Schneider, Ernie Clement, Spencer Horwitz, Chad Green, Tim Mayza, Trevor Richards, Genesis Cabrera, Yimi Garcia, Bowden Francis, Ryan Burr, Orelvis Martinez, Ricky Tiedemann, Zach Pop, Addison Barger, Nate Pearson, Nathan Lukes, Aaron Sanchez. Thu, 11 Jul 2024 - 45min - 1910 - Yusei Kikuchi’s Trade Stock Is Going Through The Roof! | Worst Loss Of The Season?
The Toronto Blue Jays lost a heartbreaker to the San Francisco Giants after a wild pitch got past Danny Jansen in the bottom of the ninth inning. Again, for the millionth time this season, the Toronto Blue Jays got a great start from their starting pitcher, the offense does not do enough and the bullpen finds a way to blow the baseball game. With Kikuchi’s brilliance, his trade stock continues to rise. Should the Blue Jays trade him? What would they get in a trade package for him? What assets will they target? We answer these questions in this episode, as well as break down all of the big moments from the first game of the Blue Jays series against the San Francisco Giants; including the wild pitch, the Ernie Clement home run and the state of this current Toronto Blue Jays organization: Your current Toronto Blue Jays roster: Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Bo Bichette, Kevin Gausman, Jordan Romano, Alek Manoah, Yariel Rodriguez, George Springer, Yusei Kikuchi, Jose Berrios, Chris Bassitt, Justin Turner, Daulton Varsho, Danny Jansen, Alejandro Kirk, Joey Votto, Erik Swanson, Kevin Kiermaier, Isiah Kiner-Falefa, Davis Schneider, Ernie Clement, Spencer Horwitz, Chad Green, Tim Mayza, Trevor Richards, Genesis Cabrera, Yimi Garcia, Bowden Francis, Ryan Burr, Orelvis Martinez, Ricky Tiedemann, Zach Pop, Addison Barger, Nate Pearson, Nathan Lukes, Aaron Sanchez. Wed, 10 Jul 2024 - 38min - 1908 - When Will Joey Votto Make His Toronto Blue Jays Debut? | Spencer Horwitz & IKF Breakdowns
The Toronto Blue Jays had an off day on Monday for the first time in almost two weeks, so we decided to take a closer look at Joey Votto’s tenure with the Toronto Blue Jays. From hitting a home run off Zach Wheeler, to disappearing for two months to his minor league stint, this has been a wild first half for Votto. Spencer Horwitz and IKF have been two of the few positives of the Toronto Blue Jays in 2024. Even though Spencer Horwitz has been hitting over .300 since he was called up to the big leagues, Blue Jays management still has not allowed him to be an everyday player. IKF will most likely be shut down until after the all-star break, but will he be able to keep up his career year in the second half of the season? We also break down the series against the San Francisco Giants, as we will see some familiar faces in this three-game set. Tue, 9 Jul 2024 - 40min - 1906 - Stealing Two In Seattle: Is George Springer Back? | Yariel Rodriguez Masterclass | Jays vs Mariners
The Toronto Blue Jays win a series for the first time since June 16th, beating the Seattle Mariners 2-1 this series. This weekend of baseball has been the most exciting Blue Jays baseball to watch in a long time, with all three games being decided by one run. The Blue Jays starting pitching was very good this weekend, getting great starts from Yariel Rodriguez and Kevin Gausman. George Springer continues to be dominant at the plate, hitting a three-run home run in game three, tying up the ball game and allowing it to go into extra innings. Daulton Varsho put on a defensive masterclass, making an unbelievable catch at the wall and a diving-rolling catch in center to double up the Mariners at second base. In this episode, we break down the Blue Jays and Mariners series game by game, analyzing the big plays, performances, and moments from over the weekend, as well as doing an in-depth dive into George Springer and Vladimir Guerrero Jr’s performances throughout the season. Fri, 5 Jul 2024 - 49min - 1903 - Bullpen Blunders: How Bad Is The Toronto Blue Jays Bullpen? Is It The Worst Bullpen In The Last 5 Years?
The Toronto Blue Jays lost another game to the Houston Astros 9-2, and everything unraveled in the 6th inning of this ball game. It started with a horrible error by Zach Pop against the first batter of the inning, with a play where Pop simply missed a ball that was rolling at a snail's pace, unable to get the throw-off to first. After this play, everything went downhill. The Astros started stringing together hits, Jose Cuas was hitting batters left and right, and the bullpen completely fell apart, allowing 7 runs over four and a third innings. This offense did not show up either, only gathering five hits and two runs against Ronel Blanco and company. This game summed up the Blue Jays season: bad bullpen, bad offense, and good starting pitching. We break down the new batting order, individual player performances, and specific plays, as well as compare this current bullpen to another bullpen the Blue Jays had just a few years ago on this episode of Locked On Blue Jays. Thu, 4 Jul 2024 - 40min - 1901 - Should The Toronto Blue Jays Move On From Trevor Richards At The MLB Trade Deadline?
The Toronto Blue Jays just barely held onto their 7-0 lead, winning the baseball game 7-6 against the Houston Astros. Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Spencer Horwitz, and George Springer stay hot, all picking up an extra-base hit with George Springers' 3-run home run being the biggest hit of the ball game. Jose Berrios looked great through the first 4 innings of the game, but pitching himself into a ton of trouble, allowing the Astros to score 5 runs in the fifth inning. A bullpen led by Nate Pearson, pitching 4 innings of 1 run, 0 earned run ball which was enough to keep the Blue Jays series hopes alive with a win. We break down the best hitters in the Blue Jays lineup, individual player performances, some more possibilities of trades, and all of the latest Blue Jays news and storylines on this episode of Locked On Blue Jays. Tue, 2 Jul 2024 - 40min - 1897 - Who Will Be The Toronto Blue Jays Core Going Into 2025 | Will Vladimir Guerrero Jr/Bichette Be Moved
It is no secret that The Toronto Blue Jays bullpen has struggled immensely this entire season. With Jordan Romano’s struggles and injuries, Yimi Garcia’s injury, Erik Swanson horrific start and other players subpar outings, the bullpen has been as shaky as it was in 2021. But the bullpen misery was led by one player: Tim Mayza. Tim Mayza had a 1.52 era last season, and this season it is over 8. This led to the Blue Jays making the decision to DFA Mayza on Saturday morning. The bullpen has been a big reason for the Blue Jays struggles this season, but so has the offense. These offensive struggles have led to a lot of theories about who the Toronto Blue Jays should move on from at the deadline. We break down who we believe the Blue Jays should keep, and how the Jays subpar play has created false narratives. Mon, 1 Jul 2024 - 44min - 1896 - Is George Springer The Key To Reviving the Toronto Blue Jays Offense? | Ross Atkins Press Conference/Bo Bichette Trade Rumors
The Toronto Blue Jays beat up on the New York Yankees in the first game of the series winning 9-2. George Springer has looked unbelievable in the last two games, having three home runs and EIGHT RBI during that period. Maybe John Schneider was right, but we will have to see if George Springer can continue to be productive before we pump his tires too much. Vladimir Guerrero continues to stay hot, with another home run and a double in the first inning. This offense was firing on all cylinders, scoring five runs in the first inning, with their first five hitters all scoring. Jose Berrios did what he always does by giving the Blue Jays a very good chance to win. Ross Atkins had a press conference talking about the roster contruction and the future of the Toronto Blue Jays. Fri, 28 Jun 2024 - 38min - 1895 - Your Toronto Blue Jays Mid-Season MVP Award Goes To….. | Best And Worst Blue Jays Of 2024
The Toronto Blue Jays had a rain delay in the last game of the Red Sox series, so we decided to do a version of a mid-season awards episode. We compiled a list of our top three players thus far on the Blue Jays, as well as our top three worst players so far this season, outlining the good, the bad, and the ugly. We did not include players like Spencer Horwitz or Addison Barger, as these players have not had enough time in the major leagues to have a significant impact on the team over a long period of time. Unfortunately with the way this season has went, it has a whole lot harder to pick out three of the worst players on the Blue Jays because there were so many options to choose from, but we believe we have selected the best possibly lists with the players we have. We also take the opportunity to preview the Yankees series over the weekend, as the Toronto Blue Jays take them on for a four-game set. Who has been the best player on the Toronto Blue Jays in 2024? Who has been the worst player? We have the answers to all this and more on this episode of Locked On Blue Jays. Thu, 27 Jun 2024 - 41min - 1894 - Will Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Be A New York Yankee Before The Season Is Over? | Toronto Blue Jays Playoff Odds
The Toronto Blue Jays do the impossible: they actually won a baseball game. It feels like an eternity since the Blue Jays have won a baseball game, and it feels good to get a win even though the Jays are still 7 games below .500. Today was a complete team win, other than Vladimir Guererro Jr’s defense, but you get a quality start from Kevin Gausman, a shutdown day from the bullpen and a SEVEN run third inning that gave the team a comfortable lead early on. Vladimir Guererro Jr. had a great game offensively with two doubles and four RBI on the day but also had two bad errors that cost the Blue Jays a few runs. George Springer and Kevin Kiermaier combined for six hits in this ball game, being major contributors to the offense. In this episode, we break down the first win for the Blue Jays in over a week, big plays from the game, individual player performances, the Blue Jays' playoff chances and an article released by the score about Vladimir Guerrero Jr’s future with the Toronto Blue Jays. Wed, 26 Jun 2024 - 41min - 1893 - When Will The Blue Jays Firesale Begin? Which Blue Jays Will Get Traded First? | Worst Loss Of The Season
The Toronto Blue Jays continue to surprise their fan base with new ways of losing baseball games. The Blue Jays were up 6-2 in the bottom of the eighth inning and ended up losing the baseball game 7-6. Chris Bassitt pitched seven innings of two-run ball and still did not get the win for his efforts. Kevin Kiermaier is missing balls in the outfield, Addison Barger is losing pop flies in the infield, and the bullpen found a way to throw away a massive start from Chris Bassitt. There would be an obvious step to take here: start the fire sale and the deconstruction of this roster. In this episode, we break down one of the worst losses of the entire season and who we believe would be among the players to be traded if the front office decides to make the right decision and sell players at the trade deadline. We cover all the newest Blue Jays news and storylines on this episode of Locked On Blue Jays Your current Toronto Blue Jays roster: Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Bo Bichette, Kevin Gausman, Jordan Romano, Alek Manoah, Yariel Rodriguez, George Springer, Yusei Kikuchi, Jose Berrios, Chris Bassitt, Justin Turner, Daulton Varsho, Danny Jansen, Alejandro Kirk, Joey Votto, Erik Swanson, Kevin Kiermaier, Isiah Kiner-Falefa, Davis Schneider, Ernie Clement, Spencer Horwitz, Chad Green, Tim Mayza, Trevor Richards, Genesis Cabrera, Yimi Garcia, Bowden Francis, Ryan Burr, Orelvis Martinez, Ricky Tiedemann, Zach Pop, Addison Barger, Nate Pearson, Nathan Lukes, Aaron Sanchez. We decided to discuss which Toronto Blue Jays we think deserve to represent the American League in this years all star game. Fri, 21 Jun 2024 - 45min - 1890 - George Springer Is On The Verge of “Getting Hot” | Is John Schneider The Dumbest Manager In The MLB?
The Toronto Blue Jays get swept by the Boston Red Sox. This was the first time the Blue Jays have been swept in a series all season. The Blue Jays played one of their worst baseball games of the entire season, going 1/15 with runners in scoring position, had 4 errors, and refused to get a 0 from the bullpen. The Cleveland Guardians series might as well not have happened, considering the Blue Jays are now 4 games below .500 on the season and are in last place in the AL East. When you think things cannot get any worse for the Blue Jays, John Schneider says in an interview that George Springer is very close to getting hot. In this episode, we discuss the John Schneider interview about George Springer expressing our feelings about the Toronto Blue Jays season, and John Schneider’s managing style. We analyze the third game of the Blue Jays and Red Sox series, breaking down individual player performances, key plays and the latest news and storylines about all things Toronto Blue Jays.
