Private Music Studio 2 is for music teachers who want to track the progress of their students taking private lessons. Student information may be organized by semester including weekly lesson assignments, grades, and notes about student performances, accompanists, and ensemble participation.
Technique and exercise assignments may be created and saved as templates for use with other students. Points may be used if desired for assessing student progress. Teachers can send progress reports to students to remind them of assignments.

Honza Kourimsky is an exciting and in demand young guitarist who has been active in creating several bands and opportunities for musicians in his currently adopted land of residence Scotland. Ged Brockie talks with Honza about the opportunities he's created and asks how the lock down has affected his work and the work of those around them in terms of the bands and live performance opportunities.

One thing that non-musicians should understand is that the world is full of great musicians, however, very few can actually claim to make a living from predominantly playing music. This podcast interview is with one such musician Tom Lippincott.
Tom is an incredibly accomplished musician who also teaches guitar. Just take a look at one of his many Youtube video lessons (link below) and you'll immediately be struck by his knowledge and ability to clearly communicate his message.

Hi! My name is Justin Comstock. I am the owner of Comstock Guitar Studio and the creator of the FretDeck. I have been playing the guitar since I was 11 years old. I started teaching the guitar during high school and have over 14 years of experience in teaching guitar. During high school I took music theory AP and continued learning more after graduating. Music has always been my passion and I enjoy helping others learn. I enjoy hearing my students write their own music and seeing what they can accomplish on the guitar.
I would like to tell you why I created this fantastic product for guitar players.
One evening while I was watching TV, I tuned into a Stevie Ray Vaughn concert that I have seen many times prior. As I watched this amazing guitarist play across the fretboard, I realized that he was playing pentatonic scales on the entire guitar. I thought if only other guitar players could understand the fretboard like Stevie Ray Vaughn. My goal is to help guitar players master the entire fret board in every single key so they feel more comfortable playing the guitar.

The JamStack is the world's first attachable guitar amplifier and the first to integrate seamlessly with a smart phone for incredible effects, shockingly good tone, and total portability.

Electric guitars can be a pain to set up. All the required equipment like cables, pedals, power outlets and amplifiers take up space and limit where and when you can play. The JamStack solves that problem, letting guitarists and bassists play wherever, whenever they choose.
Easy Set-up: JamStack’s lightweight, portable amplifier connects to the base of an electric guitar (or electric bass) in seconds. Weighing under 2lbs. (900 grams), the amp fits on the strap button at the bottom of most guitars using a spring load system and soft mount to protect from scratches. Adjust the smartphone mount and connect two short cords to the phone and guitar’s output and you are ready to jam!
How Long Does A Charge Last For?
The JamStack runs 8-hours on a single charge and works with iOS, Windows, Android, and iPhone Touch. Its 10-watt speaker is designed to sound great at high AND low volume. It’s not distorted like a mini-amp, so guitarists can sound as good practicing in the middle of the night at low volume as they would jamming alongside other instruments on the street. Since it is so small and light, the JamStack fits in a guitar case making it perfect for road trips, parties and jamming in the park.
Using Effects
Layer Effects: Pair the JamStack with apps like AmpliTube and AmpKit to add layered effects like drum beats without wasting time on levels. Back tracks won’t drop out like regular amps! And since the phone is right on the guitar body, guitarists can set up loops on the fly, perform sequined samples, or record and share music effortlessly. JamStack helps recreate virtually any guitar sound without the need for a lot of computer equipment.

Learning Guitar Sight Reading On Guitar
Learning to read traditional music notation on the guitar is usually not the first thing that guitarists consider unless they come from a classical guitar background. Due to the fact that guitar players get scales, chords, arpeggios and ultimately songs together quickly, by the time that they get round to thinking about getting their reading together it's often too late; or so they think. Getting used to TAB (tablature) means they don't see the point in learning to read.
This podcast which is episode 1 puts the case for guitar players of all ages and styles to reconsider and challenge their thoughts on learning to read music.
