    In this meditation we’ll simply listen to the sounds arising all around us, allowing what comes and allowing what goes. We’ll also invite a sense of openness into the experience — hearing the sounds without judgement or inner commentary, just letting them be as they are. By doing this we can begin to relax into our direct experience, sensing our surroundings with a beginner’s mind.

  • 133 - Meditation #126

    In this meditation we’ll begin by simply noticing the breath, and from there we’ll allow ourselves to recognise the ever-present nature of the breath — acknowledging its constant functioning, both within and without our conscious awareness. From this place of recognition we can simply place our trust in the process of breathing, knowing that it’s enough to simply notice and pay attention to the breath without trying to do anything to it. The breath is as it is, and if we can leave it alone and simply observe its movements, we can then begin to cultivate an experience of deeper presence, stillness, and acceptance.

    In this meditation we’ll expand our awareness to cover the whole body — watching the body as it sits here, meditating. There’s no goal beyond this, we’ll simply observe the body sitting without any expectations or ideas. When thoughts, emotions, or physical sensations arise, we can gently acknowledge them before guiding our attention back to the body sitting.

  • 131 - Sitting Peacefully

    In this meditation we’ll set the simple intention of sitting peacefully — just sitting with a sense of peace and ease. If at any point our mind begins to wander we can just gently remind ourselves of our intention, coming back to the simple act of sitting here peacefully, with nothing else to concern ourselves with.

  • 130 - Nothing to Offer

    In this meditation we’ll just sit and invite ourselves to simply recognise that this moment is complete and whole exactly as it is, without anything needing to be added to it. Then, taking this further, we’ll also invite the gentle recognition that we ourselves, within this moment, are also complete and whole. If this is the case then, again, there’s nothing that needs to be added — nothing that can be offered or accepted, sought or attained. We’re simply here as we are, resting in this moment.
