Every four years, the United States holds a General election to elect the next president and vice president. However, rather than hold the election through a popular vote of its citizens, the US uses a special system for these election: the Electoral College. It is madeup of a body of electors who are meant to represent the populations of their states, and these presidential elctors cast votes to determine both the president and vice president of the USA. In order to be elected, a president and vice president must win an absolute majority (or 51%) of the Electoral College vote or 270 votes. This is considered one of th enations oldest structural racial entitlement programs and its most consequential...The Electoral College!

The Negro Boys Industrial School in Arkansas operated from 1927-1968 and was a segregated juvenile correction facility and work farm for black male youth. There were 2 locations in 1936. As of March 1959, the Wrightsville school had 69 boys aged 13-17. Most of the boys were there for minor offenses such as hubcap stealing, or because their parents had split and they had no place to go.One little black boy was arrested for riding a little boys bike even though the white boys parents said that he had permission. On March 5, 1959, 21 black boys burned to death inside a dormitory that was locked from the outside.

Vice President Kamala Harris and the dozens of speakers that preceded her at Thursday's Democratic National Convention attacked former President Donald Trump on an array of fronts, including abortion, diplomacy and his litany of criminal charges. Not all of it was true. The USA TODAY fact check team followed along mto sort fact from fiction and add context where it was missing. In July, the Supreme Court in a 6-3 decision that presidents, including Trump, are at least partially immune from prosecution for crimes committed while in office. But the court's commited while in office. but the court's decision isn't as clear cut as Harris' remarks make it seem. It declares that "official" acts by presidents are protecte, but steps taken as a candidate are not. The ruling also leaves room for presidents to be prosecuted under a narrow set of circumstances, related to responsiblities within the outer perimeter of presidential duties, or to unofficial acts, as USA TODA Y previously reported.

There was a lady in her home who called for 911 to help her because she was afraid someone would hurt her. White women have had a Zoom call and raised $8.5 million dollars and over 40,000 new voters have registered to vote. The GOP is losing it's mind because they have to change there strategy. The Heritage Foundation is a non profit policy research organization based in Washington DC. founded in 1973. Heritages mission is to formulate and promote conservative public policies based on the principle of free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom and trditional American values. They have created  plan called Project 2025. This plan has been created with the support of some in the Republican party who do not believe in Democracy. It has been reported, though denied that Project 2025 discussions have centered around the nextconservative president invoking the Insurrection Act on the first day in office to allow the military to quell civil unrest.

Margaret Sanger, the controversial founder of the PPFA  held the beliefs of Eugenics. A set of beliefs and practices that aim to improve the genetic quality of a human population also called scientific racism. The Eugenics movement later became associated with Nazi Germany and the Holocaust. The Eugenics Movement in the United States was more about preserving the position of the dominant groups in the population. The people that found themselves to be the targets of the eugenics movement were those who were seen as unfit for society- the poor, the disabled, the mentally ill, and specific communities of color and a disproportionate number of those who fell victim to eugenicists' sterilization initiatives were women who were identified as African American, Asian American, or Native American. Birthed from the Eugenics Movement, practices of contraception are still a controversial matter as they carry with them the history of states in the US targeting and deciding whowas allowed or desired to reproduce. As a result in some parts of the south, this gave rise to a phenomenon known as the Mississippi Appendectomy in the 1920s-1980s. This was the medical practice that provided involuntary steriliztion to poor, black women who were deemed unfit to reproduce. The term itself was coined by Fannie Lou Hamer, who was a civil rights activist who was also sterilized without her consent.

Celebrated during March in the United States, the UK and Australia.It traces it's beginnings back to  International Women's Day in 1911. Laura X organized a march in Berkeley, CA on International Womens Day in 1969. It went from International Womens Day to International Womens Week on Mar 2-8 in 1980. In 1987 it became International Womens Month.

The Berlin Conference of 1884-1885 aka The Congo Conference met on Nov 15, 1884 and ended on Feb 26, 1885. Born and raised in Atlanta , GA. Michael Bailey graduated from W.A. Bass High school and enlistedin the Navy. Hannah Elias, the mistress of a New York City millionaire, used the property her lover gave her to build an empire in Harlem. Orphan and and self taught chemist Annie Turnbo Malone developed the first national brand of hair care products. Mississippi school teacher O. W. Gurley developed a piece of Tulsa , Oklahoma, into a town for the wealthy black professionals and craftmens that would become known as Black Wall Street. Although Madam CJ Walker was given the title of America's first black female millionaire, she was not. She was the first, however, to flaunt and openly claim her wealth.

Knowing who you are is the secret to just about everything. So much of what we do and say revolves around how we see ourselves, and how we see ourselves depends on how we perceive the God. The connection might seem elusive at first, but living in victory over sin is intricately tied to our identity. When the serpent tempted Adam and Eve to “be like God,” was that not about their identity? All of the sin, death, and destruction in our world are rooted in an identity issue. The gospel, we must understand, is an identity message. God does not just provide for us a future destiny, but also a current identity. Life in this world is never ideal, but only those who know of God’s goodness and understand their significance in His eyes can break free from the commonality and corruption that plagues our planet. It is imperative that we lay hold of our identity in Christ because genuinely walking with the Lord will put us out of step with the world around us—even those we are trying to help. If we do not know who we are, we will find ourselves living for the approval of others and neglecting God’s good plans and purposes as a result! Even though the glory of God’s children is hidden to most of this world, the reality of who we become in Christ seems almost too good to be true. It is true, though, and through the eye of faith, we can discover significance, wholeness, and freedom like never before as the Almighty Creator clothes us with His glory. Junior Rabbit and Papa Rabbit were in the living room reading a book entitled, "Loony the Loon and the Littered Lake." Papa said that the book was a very good book. Papa said that sometimes people are careless about where they put their garbage. What is Christmas? asked Junior. "It is a time when people rememberd the little baby who was born to save humans from their sins so they can go to heaven to be with Him after he dies." So, at Christmas time most humans start being nice to other humans no matter who they are or how they look.

In Doug Woodward's book, Rebooting the Bible: Exposing the Second Century Conspiracy to Corrupt the Scripture and Alter Biblical Chronology. The book reveals the hidden history of a Second Century A.D. rabbinic conspiracy altering the words of the Old Testament to stop the massive conversion of Jews to the Christian faith. These early alterations (ca.A.D. 90-120) sought to obscure the Bible's Messianic prophecies, concealing passages most often used by Christian evangelists proclaiming that Jesus was the Jewish Messiah. The former Pharisees (cum Rabbis) reduced biblical chronology by 1,600 years, compressing the crucial events of Genesis (e.g., the Flood, the invasion of the Nephilim, and the Tower of Babel). This truncated chronology damaged the Bibless witness regarding ancient history which continues to have a vast impact on Evangelicals today. As we study the Bible, we may believe we are far removed from the people described on those pages. After all, many played significant roles in helping Jesus spread the gospel. Most of us find it difficultif not impossibleto picture ourselves in that disciple-type role because we are sinful and dont always make the wisest decisions. In Characters of the Bible: Finding My Stories in Their Stories, author David Waddell shares his discovery of his similarity to characters in the Bible. He found a relationship with the woman in John 8:111. He saw himself in a crowd of Pharisees urging punishment of a woman who did something they had done or wanted to do. Waddell was the woman looking for love in all the wrong places. He was the woman at the mercy of Jesus who was forgiven of all her sins without defending herself. Waddell realized the connection he had with biblical characters because like him, and like us, they were sinful. And if were truthful with ourselves, we can be mean, deceitful, conniving, and abusing, just like many people described in the Bible. I have noticed someone in church not noticing who was speaking, but looking around and trying to see other people who they were and what their wearing.  I noticed nothing. When I was in the funeral and I did not notice what people were wearing and what they were saying. I only were looking at the person lying in the coffin. In a funeral you can be very quiet and still or very nervous and loud, but either way can be one or the other.

Maternal deaths soared during the Covid-19 pandemic, particularly among Black and Hispanic women, according to a study published in JAMA Network Open on Tuesday, underscoringthe vast inequalities that worsened during the crisis and the unique health issues the virus posed to pregnant people. Key facts: the number of maternal deaths in the U.S. jumped by a third (33%) after March 2020-roughly the start of the Covid-19 pandemic-compared to the two years before, according to an analysis of data from the National Center for Health Statistics. This disproportionately affected Black and Hispanic women, the researchers found, where deaths respectively increased by 40% and 74%. Among direct causes, which increased nearly 28%, records noting diabetes during pregnancy almost doubled (96%), while those noting blood pressure disorders and other pregnancy related conditions each increased by 39% and 48%.

Hamas has attacked Israel and threatened to murder kidnapped victims. This dispute over land rights and an equal state for Palestinians has been going on for over 70 years. Hamas is supported and financed by Iran. This war is causing chaos in the Middle East. Israel has told over 1 million people in Gaza to evacuate before they begin bombing.

The words of the song says, "The longer I serve Him, the sweeter He grows, The more that I love Him, more love He bestows; Each day is like heaven, my heart overflows, The longer I serve Him, the sweeter He grows." For some though, instead of deepening their relationship with Christ, a coolness grows. Church attendance becomes routine. Halleujah drones out and becomes nothing more than words of a song. Bible reading is perfunctory. Prayer time is a check off the list of things done. Church work is simply that ... church work. The scandals that erupt in church are often juicy and depressing -- Pastor so and so did this, the choir director did that. But what about the scandals in us? It's not that you're living a life rifled with sinful living, it's just ... you're going through the motions. You're experiencing with a coldness, a dryness, which leads to apathy. Did you ever think that your mother, your wife, or sister or daughter, would ever end in a jail. Jails weren't built for women. Advocates says that's a big problem. In 2009, James, then a mother of a 5-month old child was sentenced to 24 months in Danbury Federal prison for illegally misusing funds.There she bonded with other mothers separated and unable to see their children. She said most of her peers were serving long sentences for non-violent offensives, separated from their families and unable to get access to adequate mental health treatment and basic services like menstrual care products. So, James and a number of her fellow inmates decided they would draw attention to the conditions and fight to change them. Kamala Harris and others introduced the Dignity for Incarcerated Women Act which ais to make it easier for women to stay in touch with their children while incarcerated in federal prison by allowing longer visiting hours.

A 1999 study at the Institute of Black Parenting, a Los Angeles adoption agency, showed that as many as 40 percent of the African-American couples expressed a preference for a light skinned or mixed race child, regardless of their own complexion.  Childen who are white are slightly more likely to be adopted out of foster care. Of the more than 400,000 children in foster care awaiting adoption in 2017, about 44 percent were white, while the majority were children of color. However, of those who were adopted with public agency involvement, 49 percent were white. According to the US Commission on Civil Rights, 2004 data shows that children with lighter skin were adopted more quickly out of foster care. While white children waited 23.5 months on average, black children waited 39.4. Children with darker skin tend to wait longer to be adopted . According to a review of children in foster care in the U.S. in 2004. African-American children spend a mean of 39.4 months in foster care, far more than children of other races.
