A Quebec Superior Court judge has rejected a provisional injunction request by McGill University to remove a pro-Palestinian encampment, where many, if not most participants, are not students or members of any McGill-associated organizations from its front lawn in downtown Montreal. Now there is growing fear people under economic strain are accessing MAID.  In 2021, more than 10,000 people accessed MAID in Canada, while at the same time the numbers of doctors engaging in providing medical assistance in dying is dropping. Following yesterday's conversation with B.C. father Greg Sword who's 14-year-old daughter died of a drug overdose, today it is a British Columbia businesswoman's fight against decriminalization of illicit drugs and the 'safer drugs' program. She has faced discrimination from the provincial government, when walking her 10- and 12-year-old children has been subjected to half peace sign (in duplicate) from passersby. Her business has been boycotted (restaurant/bar) and writes to me: "I see so many people muzzled to speak and I see why businesses do not. This has been an awful experience. Allan Schoenborn, who killed all three of his children, Kaitlyn 10, Max 8 and Corden 5 years of age 16 years ago, was declared 'not criminally responsible' because of mental illness and has been held the last 14 years at the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital in Coquitlam, British Columbia. Schoenborn's first hearing before the'annual' review board in two years this week descended into chaos, including seeing his lawyer walking out of proceedings. Schoenborn has also changed his name and wants a publication ban on his new name placed into effect. As the public inquiry into foreign (China) interference in Canada continues, with among others PM Justin Trudeau scheduled to testify at the hearing he did not want and his appointed special rapporteur and former Governor General David Johnston said last year would not take place, we hear from the president of the World Uygher Congress Dolkun Isa, a short-listed candidate for the 2023 Nobel Peace Prize and author of The China Freedom Trap: My Life on the Run.  Canada's parliament voted unanimously in support of a motion declaring the Beijing government to be engaging in Genocide against its Uygher population, although the entire Liberal federal cabinet left the room before the vote took place.
