Tshwane Mayor Ciller Brink speaks to Tshidi Madia and he opens about how it has been being in the office of Tshwane Mayor for 100 days. He notes that Tshwane has a lot of financial challenges which were contributed by the 18% salary increase towards the end of 2019, misgovernance by the administrator which brough the budget of the municipality to a deficit of over 4 billion, covid-19 and loadshedding. Touching on the Eskom debt that the municipality has, he says that they are in continuous engagements with Eskom, and they are seeing a slow progress. He touches on as well on the water crisis at Hammans kraal saying that they are working with the department of water and ensuring that they have a long-lasting solution. He says that he is best navigating on the coalition by giving parties a chance to participate in the governance by giving them the seat in the decision table and by cultivating relationships. He further adds that he is not available for the Gauteng Premier Candidate and says that he does not have much relationship with the EFF as they have not been very kind to him.

The ANC Youth League held its first national elective conference over the weekend after eight years, and Ekurhuleni’s Collen Malatji emerged as the new president. He joins Tshidi and opens up about the plans that the youth league has and how they plan to work with the mother body to ensure that the issues of the youth of this country are tackled by the ANC government. He also touches on how he plans to go back to the Luthuli house and to work towards the next coming elections and the strategy is to mobilize young people so that they vote in the next coming elections. To close of the month of June where we commemorated the youth of 1976 as well as celebrated Pride month, Tshidi speaks to Dr Bev who is an activist for the LGBTQ community. She begins by reflecting on her how she started her journey of fighting for human rights for the Queer community. She also spoke on the 2024 up coming General Elections and said that she feels that we need leaders and though there are up coming political parties she still has no confidence on any of the political leaders. She then also spoke on what happened in Ghana by adding that even in South Africa even though we might have the bill of rights for the Queer community in the South African Constitution, yet she feels that the bill of right is not easily accessible. Dr Ditsie also said that she feels that the South African media is the most homophobic media.

Tshidi Madia has a conversation with General Bantu Holomisa and he speaks about what needs to change in order for our democracy to work.
