Host Wyatt Cox brings the best of radio classics back to life with both the passion of a long time (as in more than half a century) fan and the heart of a forty year news man. But more than just “playing the hits”, Wyatt supplements the first hour of each day’s show with historical information on the day and date in history including audio that takes you back to World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. FDR, Eisenhower, JFK, Reagan, Carter, Nixon, LBJ. It’s a true slice of life from not just radio’s past, but America’s past.
Wyatt produces 21 hours a week of freshly minted Classic Radio Theater presentations each week, and each day’s broadcast is timely and entertaining!

    Then Maxwell House Coffee Time hosted by Dick Powell, originally broadcast November 21, 1940, 84 years ago.  Mary Martin sings "Falling Star" for the first time, from the film, "The Great Dictator."  Daddy tells Baby Snooks about Thanksgiving. Jack Benny visits o discuss the premiere of the picture Love Thy Neighbor with co-star Mary Martin.

    Followed by Lum and Abner, originally broadcast November 21, 1948, 76 years ago, Ezra Seestrunk's Cousin Rowena Has Thanksgiving Dinner With Lum.  Lum tries to impress Miss Rowena on Thanksgiving, with a mansion and servants. 

    We follow that with Jack Benny, originally broadcast November 21, 1943, 81 years ago, The Awful Turkey Dream. Jack buys a live turkey for Thanksgiving, then dreams that he's a turkey!

    Then The Great Gildersleeve starring Willard Waterman, originally broadcast November 21, 1951, 73 years ago, Inviting Thanksgiving Guests.  Who should be invited for dinner at Thanksgiving?

    Finally, Superman, originally broadcast November 21, 1941, 83 years ago, The Pan-American Highway.   The civilization of the Incas still exists! While flying to South America, Clark Kent and Lieutenant Elliott discover that someone is hiding aboard their airplane!

    Followed by Jeff Regan Investigator starring Jack Webb, originally broadcast November 20, 1948, 76 years ago, The Pilgrim’s Progress. At a Thanksgiving turkey shoot, Regan gets the bird and it's not the turkey that gets shot, it's Miles Standish!

    Then Suspense, originally broadcast November 20, 1960, 64 years ago, Night on Red Mountain starring Lawson Zerbe.  A gas station owner atop a California mountain is threatened by members of his old gang during a blizzard. 

    Followed by Macabre, originally broadcast November 20, 1961, 63 years ago,  Weekend.  A weekend on a mysterious island with a mad doctor who is experimenting with a deadly drug. 

    Finally Lum and Abner, originally broadcast November 20, 1941, 83 years ago.  Lum and the library lion - a real one, not a statue.

    We follow that with The Life of Riley starring William Bendix, originally broadcast November 19, 1944, 80 years ago, Turkey Hunt.  How to get a turkey for Thanksgiving? It's easy...win a turkey shoot! 

    Then The Phil Harris-Alice Faye Show, originally broadcast November 19, 1950, 74 years ago, Alice and the Kids Going to Palm Springs Without Phil.  Phil's spending the weekend without Alice and the girls, prompting Remley to bring a live turkey into the house. Her name is Charmaine. 

    Finally, Superman, originally broadcast November 19, 1941, 83 years ago, The Pan-American Highway.   Clark Kent receives Perry White's distress call from the sabotaged stratoship. Superman to the rescue! A clue is found indicating that a lost Inca civilization may still exist. Bud Collyer still has laryngitis.

    Followed by My Favorite Husband starring Lucille Ball and Richard Denning, originally broadcast November 18, 1949, 75 years ago.  Liz decides to help her maid Katy's romance with Mr. Nagle, the postman.

    Then Abbott and Costello, originally broadcast November 18, 1943, 81 years ago, Nylon Stockings with guest Lucille Ball.  Lou tries to get a pair of nylons for Connie Haines from guest Lucille Ball. Two flubbed lines cracks up almost everyone.

    We follow that with Gunsmoke starring William Conrad, originally broadcast November 17, 1957, 67 years ago, The Queue. An educated Chinaman named Chin Wong comes to Dodge to work as a cook. When two bullies steal his pigtail, he threatens to kill them. 

    Then Lights Out, originally broadcast November 17, 1937, 87 years ago, Little Old Lady. A couple of college girls go to visit their aunt.   Aunt Harriet, living alone in a dark wood, has some very strange feline companions!

    Finally, Superman, originally broadcast November 17, 1941, 83 years ago, The Pan-American Highway.   As Clark Kent prepares to head for Washington, D.C., the rest of "The Daily Planet" staff leaves for South America...and finds sabotage aboard the plane in which they're flying!
